| Anyone take the weekly total of carbs, spread it out over the week in a way so you aren't eating the same carb amount daily???? e.g for 30 carbs Monday - 20 Tuesday - 25 Wednesday - 25 Thursday - 30 Friday - 20 Saturday - 50 Sunday - 35 5 leftover for insurance I've taken the idea from WW - seems like a good way to keep your body in a losing mode and be able to enjoy the weekends (lc bread, more fruit, that kinda of thing) I'd really like some feedback from those who've done this (ok, any feed back!) thanks!

| I'm sure I've done that, if I were still counting my carbs these days. But I just don't count anymore. I know what I eat and what I don't eat. But yes, my carbs vary wildly from day to day. But I don't think I ever go over 50 on any given day. and when I get near 50, it's usually from veggies and maybe some LC bread.

| I use a range of carbs method. I try to get a minimum of 35 carbs and a maximum of 50 per day. If I exceed 50 by a lot I'll cut back to 35 for a few days to make up for it. It worked better for me at the beginning (first 6 months) than it has lately. But as long as I'm losing something each month I'll stick with it because it pretty much allows me to be continually satisfied. But I lost 2 pounds this week and my average carb intake was 48 net. Course I walked 34.5 miles also. I say it's worth a try and will work for some and maybe not so well for others. |

| It worked well for me i the beginning--I will go back to it if I can get the weight moving again! I went form about 30-to around 50 every other day--I counted purposely and added things or subtracted them based on how many I had eaten. I lost 30 in the first about 3 1/2 months then I stopped for aobut 3 weeks then another 25-27 in about 2 months and I have been stuck since! Hoping school will push the envelope again!

| April - My basic forumla for getting the weight to lose is varying carbs AND calories. I've done this a few times over the years and it always works. Especially with exercise. Of course, I haven't done it recently....been feeling lazy! ![]() I usually vary between 20-50 grams

| I am trying this same way of eating. I think I need a week of Induction. Weight has not really dropped since the end of last year. Still have lost 32 lbs and my weight has been varying about 2.5-3 lbs each day. But I am going to Italy at the end of August for 18 days....who knows what will happen in that time. Plan to watch it tho.

| Ive been doing this for a few months, i think my body has realized it also, lol. I dont really track my carbs, but i aim for 35-100gr a day, i know this is kinda high but im very very active, on the days im strengh training i really need the extra carbs. i lift on average 50,000lbs per workout session.

| WOW, thank you all for your input!!!! I have yet to hit a carb count higher then 41 (oddly, I only had 628 calories that day, go figure???) I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY happy with my lose so far and just want to keep losing in a safe and healthy way. I have a mini goal of 2 pounds a week, a realistic goal of 5 pounds a month and a dream goal of being 170 by the new year. The important thing right now?? I've never felt better. The scale says 18 pounds lost, but to me it's far more then that. I've lost that mental fog and life is DAMN good!!

| i know my counts vary widely from day to day, except i don't count them anymore. like barb, i know what's generally on the menu and what to avoid! i try to just listen to my body and eat what appeals to me (uh, within reason!), when i'm hungry. it's worked for me so far. don't worry too much, april rose! if you're losing and feeling GREAT, then you're pretty obviously doing it right, lady! |
