Default 1 carb Reese's PB cups

They finally came out with them. and I decided to try 'em. They were okay. A little on the dry side. The dh said they tasted like glue. Personally, I'd rather eat the real thing when it comes to these. These do not make up for the taste of the real ones. And my body is unable to tolerate sugar alochol more and more - even erythitol. (which is what these are made with) The Nestle Crunch ones tasted much better than these - now those tasted like the real thing - but still, my body is not sugar alochol friendly and those are made with erythitol as well.

Wow, its to see more and more manufacturers are using erythitol over malitol. For some reason i did not care for peanut butter pre lc, but now i really enjoy eating peanut butter. i find this very strange, my tastes are changing big time. Maybe my body and mind are working together now and not against each other. Healthier eating/healthier cravings.

Sheyla, I agree with you! I "broke" the story of this in the Everything Else forum on July 18. My bosses went to a trade show and brought back samples. They're okay.

Friday, before I left to go on my trip, my boss gave me all the "1 Carb" candy samples he had laying around so I'd have snacks on my trip. Although I'd been having tummy issues all week, I had it down to a minimum with a couple of doses of Pepto. THEN, I had a pack of the Reeses Saturday....and I'd SWEAR they made me yucky again! (Up to this point, I have been able to tolerate erythritol with no problem.) Then, I got okay, took my supplements and enzymes and was fine for a while....until I had one of the Hershey ones with the crisps in it. 45 minutes later and my tummy was churning again. I'm not so sure I don't still have a little virus going on, but I'm not sure.

I think I will do these three things:

1. steer clear of the candy until I'm 100%, then try it to see if the erythritol is the culprit.

2.NOT ride the "Great White" roller coaster at Sea World 2 times in a row. Has anyone seen the pit of my stomach anywhere?????

3.Politely pass on any and all tequila shots that the restaurant owner comps to my party!

If my belly could, it would put a hit out on me! Sugar alcohols, rollercoasters, and margaritas are not it's preferrred occupants! LOL!!

Very wise observations, Maxibee!

One thing about sugar alcohol - I use to could handle eating a ton of that stuff. But I've discovered that the closer I get to goal weight, the more my body cannot even tolerate sugar alcohol of any kind - even erythitol. I've tried eating this stuff in limited quantities but still get the same effects. And I don't like the way I feel after eating sugar alcohol. DH can't even tolerate the sugar alcohol anymore, either. Last night, we made the agreement to NEVER buy anything with sugar alcohol in it ever again. I'll stick with things made in their natural state and will enjoy my fresh veggies and fresh fruit all the more...and if I'm ever in the mood for something sweet (which is a rare occasion these days), I will eat the 'real' thing b4 even giving into something with sugar alcohols in them.
