Default ADDING FRUIT AND FEAR OF OWLs

I read the post about fear of owls this morning. Wow! Great timing! I'm another scarey about adding and I am stalled! I'm gonna do it now!!!! But, someone told me you should only eat fruit (berries) in the morning in order to "burn them off"? Anyone ever heard this one?

What are some less expensive fruits that are okay to add? I just can't afford berries right now.

Debby, I buy frozen strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. The raspberries had added sugar. So be sure and look at the label to see that the only ingredient is the berry. I too am on a strict budget and find this to be the cheapest way to get my fruit. (Even when the fresh are buy one get one free.) The frozen blueberries were especially good and the bag lasted a long time. I just buy the store brand at King Soopers (Krogers, City Market).

Oh, and I have been losing steadily while eating berries at least every other day. Come to think of it I lost more when I ate them every day. Of course I'm still somewhat of a newbie but just my thoughts.

Debby, what Noel said, frozen is a super buy and you're not rushed to finish them off before they go bad.

Here are some numbers I ran through fitday

1/2 a medium pear, apple or grapefruit is 10 ecc (give or take a carb)
a banana 1 cup sliced is 32 (avoid those, lol!)

are peaches on sale?? They are a good lc choice, but again, you may want to check the frozen selection (I'll be doing this myself as we roll into winter here)

Mix the berries with some peach slices, sprinkle with Splenda if you'd like and top with homemade whipped cream for a really wonderful dessert!

Or just a bowl of peaches splashed with brandy or rum with a sprig of mint for color.

Or, you can bake peaches in the oven after dotting them with butter and Sugar Twin Brown Sugar and cinnamon. Serve it piping hot with a little heavy cream over the top.

It makes your kitchen smell good, too.

Lately, I've been addicted to mangoes. I certainly don't eat the whole thing but about 1/3 of one mango in a sitting. They're so yummy!

I my weight seems to be doing fine. I eat mango about 2-3 times a week.
