| When I got there we spent all of 5 minutes discussing my eczema and 35 minutes discussing the virtues of the Atkins WOE. The man I saw was a physicians assistant. He was completely captivated by the whole concept. He was incredibly supportive. I was a little nervous letting him know how I lost all of the weight because you hear so often about people whose docs are nasty to them. This doc was so curious about the types of foods I ate and how they affected my feelings of hunger., what my motivations were and so much more. You would think he would be asking for himself because of the type of questions he asked but the fact is he is a very thin tall man. It was just really neat to see him so interested. I did tell him that the book is VERY informative and gives a much more detailed description of the hows and whys if he was really interested. Boy I left the doctor feeling wonderful (although still itchy!) Just thought I would share this experience so that maybe someone else will who was afraid of their docs reaction will be proud to tell.... Amy G |

| I told one of my doctors two days ago and she toowas VERY supportive. She ask about 50 questions about ATkins--she has been doing South Beach. . .she was shocked. She saw me in January when I weighed in at 232 and at her office WEdnesday I weighed in at 173. She had to ask. . .could not resist asking what I had done to lose the weight. Yesterday at the pool--is my size 10 bathing suit and new found fitting water sandals DD had to tell someone sitting on hte bleachers waiting on their child to finish lessons that the sandals didn't fit a couple of months ago. . .that of course forced the question. . .so I got to share again how much I had lost and how. . .they were impressed. . .the one lady whose son is in Lynae's swim class was headed to get the book from the pool as soon as she drug DS out of the pool. I don't know if she will actually go get the book, but it is fun "showing" that it can be done and that you can do it without having hanging skin and floppy arms--neither of which you can see in my bathing suit because it isn't there!

| I hope my visit goes as smoothly as yours. I have not seen a doctor since my daughter was born 2 years ago. I have a visit coming up in two weeks! I lost my weight doing a bit of low fat, low carb and lots of exercise....I dropped 30 pounds..so i hope my doc is just as pleased |

| It's so great that doctors or even PA's out there are finally understanding and being supportive of this woe...when I went last year for a physical, they noticed that, at that time, I had lost 40 lbs and asked what I was doing so I told them, and they raved about eating the Atkins way...I thought that was just totally awesome!
