Default carb monitor... baked mixes

okay.. i been jonesing for a chocolate chip cookie.. and didnt want any effor in it .. well.. i walked threw baked mixes isle.. and there was carb monitor mixes.. i grabed the chocolate chip cookie mix.. never looked at ingrediants never looked at carb count.. anyway as im typeing this they are in the oven.. well.. the second tray is.. and i came on here beacuse i fear if i fiddle in the kitchen im going to eat all of the cookies... they were very good.. to good to be true.. looking at the carbcount.. hrmm only major change on this is they used splenda instead of suggar... first ingrediant is labled as "enriched flour bleached( wheatflour ect ect ect)
and so on.. i probly wouldnt have bought this if i would have read what was in it..sposed carb count "net" being 12 per 2 cookies that is if you can stop at those 2 cookies...

big note... never buy these agin.. they are evil!

Beware the evil cookies. :eyes:

I got some low carb muffins. They look pretty good. I hestiate making them for fear that I may eat too many as well.

Good luck resisting.

Cushie,
I bake lc bran muffins (I use Charski's recipe; they rock!) about once a month. To keep from munching too many I freeze them in twos in little plastic ziploc bags as soon as they cool. I pull a bag out the night before when I want them for breakfast the next day, or toss them in my purse to eat at work.
BTW, you are getting close to your Thanksgiving goal. Way to go, girl!!

the carb montior mixes are good, but aren't really all that great on carb counts and dripping with sugar alochols (if you can drip with that). i do make them occassionally or something similar, either an atkins mix (take out a loan!) or kruteaz or something. mainly because i want that stuff sometimes. except of course, it SLOOOOOOOOWs down the weightloss something firece. but hey, i'm ready for maintenance!

Dont get me wrong those cookies were GREAT! i added a little almond flour after i made the first tray they spread out to much for my likeing.. they were still good.. i think i might have added part of an extra egg.. i had an egg in the fridge that fell and cracked so i grabed it and tossed it in too.. they were great.. but.. that was the problem.. and im not sure if it was something else i ate that day but around 1 am.. i was awaken by.. umm rear end noises.. if you know what i mean.. it was horrible.. i mean.. BAD.. wishing i had something to take for it lastnight since i was wakeing my self up all night going toot toot toot.. rofl..thank god dh wasnt home lastnight.. rofl..

probably the sugar alcohol in the cookies. all those mainstream 1/2-way sorta carb friendly stuff are loaded with it, and if you eat a few too many...ugh! not a pretty sight (or scent)! i had some wicked stomach cramps from eating too many brownies once and swore i'd never do it again. i mostly haven't.
