Heya!!!
Well, last week I actually got on the scale. I had actually FORGOT to weigh in last month (Oct.) so I stepped on the scale (WHOOPS). After a whole month of no losses in Sept. October proved to be a bit better. I finally dropped a pound or two...(it teeters between 156 and 157, so I am rounding up...)!
WOOHOO!!!
I have dropped inches as well which is where it also matters to me. I think what has happened is that since I have started running, and combined with my ice hockey twice a week, I have built some muscle m**** hence the droppage of inches. Not a problem for me!!! I decided to skip forward to a sort of pre-maintenace type of diet because I am so active. I alternate my carbohydrates between 40 and 80 grams or so depending on how active I am that day. I am also massaging clients during the week which tires one out like you can't believe. It is pretty hectic over here.
Since I added in a few carbs here and there (on days where I can afford to do so) I have felt a lot better...More energy and stuff. Sooo....like I have posted before, I am no ruch to lose the weight. If it takes me a couple of years to lose the remaining pounds (12-18 give or take) I have no probs with it whatsoever. It has taken me 6 months to lose 15 pounds. Not too shabby!! My knees ( I have some problems with my knees from past hockey and sports injuries) also feel so much better because I am 15 pounds lighter. That makes me feel good, because my knees are really REALLY important to me, and what makes THEM feel better, makes ME feel better.
But FINALLY I have lost one more.... and THAT is a reason to celebrate!
Also, the clothes are fitting so much nicer. Lovin' it!
Yayyyy!!!!!!!!!
I also have noticed that since really watching my carb intake and WHAT goes into my mouth, I have come up with some awesome recipes for this way of eating. I have posted the "lazy cabbage rolls" and will post the "blueberry spice loaf" very very soon! Both ROCK!!! I am tweaking a recipe or two to come up with a cheddar dill loaf worth about 4 net carbs a slice! Full of flavour without all that guilt.
Cheers from hockeygirl's test kitchen,
Krystyne (down another pound!!! YAYY!!)
