Default Feet Smaller!

Has this happened to any of you. I've lost about 15 pounds so far (give or take a few) and my shoes are big!! I normally wear 8 and 1/2, but these days there is a space in my shoes when I put them on. They're floppy, and I mean pumps! I notice that 7 and 1/2 shoes are fitting me more comfortably now, and with space...

Isn't that something!

I've not noticed that, but I don't doubt it can happen.

I HAVE noticed that my feet have gotten wider--much wider--in the past 10 years. I have to shop for extra wide shoes. Pumps are out of the question these days. I'm afraid that if I wear anything with heels that I'll break an ankle. Heck, I already have trouble some days keeping my feet steady on uneven surfaces in flats. I truly believe it's because I carry more weight than my body can handle.

Yes...that has happened to me...at my heaviest, I was wearing a size 7 1/2 ...now I wear between a 4 1/2 and 5...

One thing I have noticed - if I start eating things that are refined, then my feet start to swell...so it's an incentive for me to not eat refined foods. (they're not good for you anyway!)

Yep - happened to me to. After the birth of my kids, my feet grew from a 7 to 8 1/2 - now I am comfortably in a 7 1/2.

I have a friend that lost a size and a half when she lost her weight. I didn't think that could happen before her but it did. Congrats on your smaller shoes.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY FEET TO SHRINK!!!

I wear a 9 (occasionally an 8-1/2) and I will be thrilled when the size goes down.

I am slowly increasing my walking, perhaps that will help.

Good for you, Gospelgal

I have never noticed that but I guess it makes sense especially on the width. If you retain alot of water, your feet are swelled.
interesting!

It definitely happens. I started out wearing anywhere from a size 10w to size 11w, depending on the maker. I'm now wearing anywhere from an 8 to a 9, and no more wide widths. Skimpy sandals, ankle bracelets, and toe rings are now my friends.
