Doing alright, still staying away from snacking too. I got in all my water and 4 cups GT, took supplements, and ate on plan. I even exercised! Whoa, that is surprising 2 days in a row - let's see if I can keep it up.

After the barley/buckwheat/oats cereal I was DOWN .2 of a pound this AM, so I'm happy about that, AND TOM came today!!!!!! So I think that's a good sign. I got in my 4 cups of green tea today, ate salmon and cream cheese with green onion, basil, garlic and dill with a squeeze of lime juice, half an avocado, some pine nuts and homemade barley/beef soup. I peed a TON today!!!!!

Juliana - I agree - our fluids go up and down - no need to change your sig.

Melissa - what is your calorie limit? Did you know that eating too few calories can actually show down weight loss? - the body decides its starving (different than ketosis mode) and the metabolism slows down. I have read that one actually needs to eat enough calories to lose weight (doesn't sound right to us after all those years of low-cal, low-fat dieting but it is true).

I had a good day today - limited my snacking, stayed on plan - 5th day of no cheats - and even exercised - walked about 1/2 mile and did 1/4 mile WATP warm up (muscles still getting used to it).

Yep Ju, the scale is a cheat and a liar!!!! It's especially detrimental to us Turtles, so maybe we should only weigh every other day. Should we just all decide to do that?

it's hard, because the scale goes up and down several times a day. while it's normal to have such fluctuation, it's not encouraging at all!

i've gotten to the point that i end up weighing much less often than i used to (which was maybe 3 times a day!) i may weigh in once a week, or twice, or none, depending on if i think of it. long term trends are the thing, but it's hard to wrap your brain around that.

Know what you mean about the scale! I'm trying to only get on it once a week.

Hehe, once a week is the best way to do it. What we REALLY should be doing is writing down a weekly weigh-in and then taking an average for the month. I'm just not that disciplined.

Weighing in the morning is as normal to me as brushing my teeth or peeing. Of course, I do pee first! And brush my hair. And do a load of laundry. You see....that couple of ounces of pee, the few hairs I lose, and about 7-8 calories I burn putting the laundry in could make all the difference in my weigh-in.

Good grief!! Writing that makes me realize how ridiculous that little ritual is! Yes, it's true....I do those things!! LOL!

Today was not my best day. I was up a pound. Because last night we had a fiasco around here, so we ate late: soy chips and cheese dip with no lactase supplement was a bad choice for me. Today I snacked too much.....fruit and veggies and s/f pudding and yogurt.....just TOO many! And I forgot my water jug, so, despite my efforts, I know I didn't get all my water in.

That's okay, I'll start again in the morning. Take care, everyone!

LOL - Maxi. Did you know your pee could make 1/2 - 1 pound difference (16 oz = 2 cups water = 1 lb).:jump: I always go first - won't weight if I can't eliminate waste first - if you know what I mean (hard to be tactful about these things). I hate to admit it but I have weighed before and after and it really does make a difference.

I think Barb's idea of weighing once a week with a monthly average is really good. I may make myself a little list and do just that. Today I'm down 3 pounds from morning after Christmas. That's good for me.

Food is very good - had a little too much lc milk today. The reason I say too much is because it has lots of chemicals in it so I like to keep it to about 1-1/2 cups /day - I had more like 3-1/2 ish. Carb count is good though. And eating lots of vegies. Starting to exercise. I feel encouraged. One of these days I won't be a turtle any more - yeah! But I won't quit hanging around with my buddies

My calories should be high enough, but not too high.
According to my FitDay software, my average calories for the past two weeks is 1,328 and my average for the past 7 days is 1,343. This week, my highest calorie intake was 1,707 and my lowest was today at 1,156. . . . and no . . . I've still not budged from that 205 mark. ARGGHHH!!!!

This week, I added in a tad more exercise. I've done WATP three days...not enough to make enough muscle to be an excuse for my lack of weight loss but apparently not enough to jump-start my metabolism into lose mode either.

I weigh myself every day after visiting the potty (and brushing my hair) and before I eat or drink anything. I'm not as organized as Maxi. Laundry isn't an everyday event in my house. I usually find myself weighing before bed, too, although I'm not sure why. That's the most innaccurate time of day to get a reading.

I was looking back at my log and noticed that I first weighed 205 on Dec. 20. My weight went up to 206 while I was taking liquid Benadryl, then back down to 205 on Dec. 24. Then I gained two pounds the two days after Christmas (I figure it was the cheats I ate) but was right back to 205 on Dec. 27. With the exception of one bowl of restaurant soup, that didn't knock me out of ketosis, I've been eating on plan.

I tried to console myself by checking out the inches I lost since Nov. 15. I've lost 1 1/4" on my hips; 3/4" on my waist (I wish it had been more. My gut lack of waist a problem even when I was 220 pounds); 1" on my upper arm; 1" on my upper thigh and 2" in my breasts--which is NOT where I needed to lose it!

Oh well...the weight will come off when it's good and ready I suppose. I'm disappointed, but I'm not giving up. I'm determined to stick with my 100-day cheat free challenge!

LOLOLOL

Don't forget to shave your legs, brush your teeth (that plaque could weigh a LOT), loofah off those extra skin cells, inhale deeply and then let it out (air weighs something right?), hold your tummy in and your ribcage up as high as you can get it, and what works for me.........................close your eyes until your scale has come to rest on the weight for the day.

I had a whole sheet of those on my other puter. If I find it...........I'll post it. It's toooooooooo funny!!!!!!

We've all been there done that, I'm sure!!!!!!
