Default Confession Time

Back in August, after we moved back to Ohio, I pretty much let my LC eating habits all go to naught. I have since gained back about 12 pounds. Like so many others I am having a tough time getting back on the LC wagon. Today I am making a committment to myself that I will be more vigilent in getting myself back into the LC WOE.

I know what I should be doing but I haven't been doing it. No more giving in to those old comfort foods. This post probably reads like it should belong in the journal section, maybe I will go and start one of those today as well.

Welcome back, Libby. Any day is a good day to start over. It always helps me to keep a journal--or more specifically, an accurate record of everything I eat, and the exercise I do. I like to use Fitday.com. And there are other helpful sites for this.

Lib, I've had to do the same thing. I find it helpful to just take it meal by meal....until the lowcarb WOE becomes habit once again. You can do it!

Thanks for all the kind thoughts. I think I was just being cathartic and getting it off my chest. Sometimes when I see something in writing I hold myself more accountable. One day at a time, one meal at a time.

Libaki,

I've also had to do the same thing a COUPLE of times. I also come back and each time I return, I'm more determined. The folks here are so supportive and helpful. Take it a day at a time and before you know it...you'll be LCing

i dont even WANT to know how hard it would be to LC after being off for any length of time..
i had a HARD enough time just doing NO FRANKENFOODS and induction levels for a few weeks...
just goes to show ya what bad food habits can do...its a powerful thing that food can hold over us..
best wishes on your gettin back in the groove...
glad you posted here... might have missed it in a journal (yeah RRRRRRIGHT kimberly! )
to be honest.. the breaky club challenge got me back to basics... that start with a LC staple (bacon and eggs) had me feeling that it WASNT as hard as i had tried to MAKE it be to get back to eating GOOD LC for a change...

Thanks for all the encouragement. I think the worst part of it is knowing that I was 4 gosh darn pounds from my goal weight.

Anyway, today was totally on plan even though it was my birthday.

Well Happy Birthday! And give yourself a big pat on the back for staying on plan on that special day!

Moving is a stressful situation. If you only gained 12 pounds, I think you have pretty well stopped the train wreck by getting back to lc before it got worse.

Keep us posted!

I know where your coming from. I was getting off track in the summer and it carried on through the holidays. I only gained 7lbs, lucky I guess. Since the 28th of January I have been back on track, started induction again and have lost the weight I gained plus a a couple of pounds more. It's hard to start over after being off plan so long but if I can do it you can do it, and you got all the support you need here. Good Luck

Hugs
Nancy
