How funny, I was just thinking a few days ago, in 2004 I made the resolution to lose weight and I did far beyond what imagination could dream. So there was no way I would try to top that in 2005, so just keeping up with my 2004 resolution also became my 2005 resolution.

And you guys are so right, after asking and learning so much you eventually turn into a lurker and occassional poster. Starting a new thread becomes a major event, lol.

I know that for me, I have been really busy the past couple weeks at work and with my son who has been sick for the past few days, and I haven't had much time to post. I usually post in my journal to keep myself honest, and that's about it...

I get really busy sometimes, too. The old "unorganized life" thing! But, basically....I've kinda been cutting back on my time here deliberately. I found myself logging in here no matter how late it was and staying on too long.

Since lack of sleep is a contributor to a slower metabolism, I've been trying to get more sleep lately. If I'm not able to get online before 10:00, I really try to talk myself out of getting online at all that night. Weekends are a little easier. (I can sleep late tomorrow.) Last weekend I was online alot....and not doing anything else. I found myself trying to complete a "Dr.Phil group" assignment late Sunday night.

As much as I love this group, I cannot let being on this site so much come before everything else. It's just a matter of priority. Today, I made sure I got 90% of my housework/projects done BEFORE I got online. That feels pretty good!

I just want to have a more balanced life all the way around.

Well, that explains it, Rob! I had visions of you being in a restaurant with all these servers and cooks around you while you are explaining "low carb" to them!

Gilley, you are a real sweetheart. I wish your friend good luck with her surgery.

Maxi, trying to slow your brain down before bed time is a good idea! I usually don't do too much past 8PM . . . by 9 I am usually asleep, but then I get up at 5! My body is so used to this routine, I even do it on weekends.

Hi all I too am a lurker and don't post much. I still find these boards however to be a great source of encouragment and support.

I too am getting close to my goal,13 more lbs to go, and am more committed than ever to this WOE. I have been too the gyn every day this past week and excersize has become an intregal part of my life. Some where in the last few months my perspective has taken a shift from this being about wieght loss too it being about just getting healthy. Well bye for now I'm off to the gym to try my first yoga class.
