I'm still here, too. 4 months into the new year and still trying to get back to LAST year's low weight. Not good. I think I'll lock myself in a closet next Christmas. I don't really think I'll need to do that.....the memory of re-losing this weight should do it for me!

I'm another pound closer today. I'm back down to 226. Five more pounds and I'll be back to where I was last November. Then onward and downward from there.

BTW- everyone here is invited to join the "10 pounds in 10 weeks" challenge. That's gonna be a REAL challenge for me! After starting the challenge 3 weeks ago at 228, I promptly GAINED up to 234 and had to take 2 weeks to get back to my starting weight! Yikes!

Take care, everyone!

Hi all! This week is running along smoothly. Still decent weather, but a tad cooler. I really need to get back with the exercising. Barb had me thinking the other week about cycling. I think I'll get mine out and get a seat for DS - he's 2 and loves being outside, so we could hit the streets with the older ones and enjoy the ride together.

I have noticed that I've been losing again, but with no exercise. Crazy? Do you all think I need to add more veggie carbs or something when I am back to exercising every day? I haven't changed what I'm eating...so maybe the carb count needs to go up some?

Yep, I agree, I think if you are exercising more you can definitely afford to add more veggies!!! .......and fruit while you're at it.

I've been working like a mad woman on the chair..........it's almost done. It was going to be due friday, but I got an e-mail that they extended the due date to May 10th......WOOOHOOOOO.....a reprieve!!! I haven't touched it today....just taking a bit of a break.

I have solidly stayed in the 130's now for almost a month. I'm now fluctuating between 137 and 139...........I'll TAKE IT!!!!!! 135 is very elusive, but I now have the confidence that I WILL get there. Then I think I will reassess and rethink my goal weight. I had this weird thought this morning..........."I don't want to get TOOOO skinny." How weird is THAT!!!??? It's a stage I will look forward to, having to maintain my weight and keep from losing more. What a bizarre thought process. And to think I had resigned myself at one time to just being FAT. How bizarre, how bizarre. I just LOVE this lifestyle!!!!!! Even though there are slow bumps in the road, I wouldn't trade it for the world. A girl at work was giving me grief again about how dangerous low carb is. I got on my soap box and emphasized how many fruits and veggies I eat now......more than ever. And I told her I DON'T eat sugar and flour. She said that was good, but don't you eat a lot of meat???? I said I don't eat anymore meat than I used to. She said what about bacon??? I said I may eat it once a month. She just couldn't chip any holes in my way of eating. HAH!!!!!! I fixed HER!!!! LOLOLOL (we get along great, so it wasn't like we were getting mad at each other or anything.) It was actually a very stimulating conversation.
Later Turglas...........

YooHoo!!! Tuuuurrrtllles! Where is everyone? I'm hanging in here, trying to keep doing my "Big 5":getting enough sleep, taking my supplements, eating right, exercising, and drinking enough water. When I do that, I can lose. Back to 226 again after going BACK once more to 228 this past weekend. I may never lose all this weight, but I'm gonna go to my grave trying! How's everyone else doing?

Good for you MaryKay! I'll bet you're feeling great - don't give that lb another thought.

I'm doing fine. I did get a seat for my 2 yr old - so the kids and I have been riding our bikes all over the subdivision. We even took a ride to Wendy's - they loved that! I got a salad and water - then rode back - felt pretty good.

How's the chair going Barb? That is so great you feel so at peace with your weight. I wonder will I ever think to myself that I'm getting too skinny? Don't think so. That seems so far from where I am right now, but like you, I do love this lifestyle.

Me too, MK. I have been so good and I've worked out this week and I got on the Gazelle this morning and still up 1-2 pounds. AAAAARGH! I guess that's why I'm a turtle!
Angie....did you desert us on the 10/10 challenge? BTW-I don't see me ever getting "too skinny" either, LOL!

No way Maxi! I did post no loss last week, but this week I'm down 0.5 lbs - not much but as long as its losing. I've been working a few evenings lately so haven't been able to check in as much.

Sounds like your doing well.

OMgawsh, it's been a long time since I've posted!!! Work is revving up and I've been dawg tired. It's friday and finally feel like I have time to sit on the puter and muse. I have to confess, I have been a total SLUG all week on the exercise front. I haven't gone once!!!! But I'll get back to it next week. My eating has been on plan but not stellar. I made my own version of "Tiramisu" for our Tues. night bunco bunch. I snarfed what was left over and made a scaled down version again. I've been eating LOTS of dessert and fruit all week. (I served fresh fruit as snackies at bunco too instead of all the crappy junk they usually have.........they didn't eat a lot of it, so I had a lot leftover.) But I figure fruit is way better than sugary junky crap. So I'm up a pound which I attribute to 1) no exercise 2) eating fat in my dessert thingy and 3) eating way more fruit than I normally do and 4) TOM is on the way. I'm not stressing about it either. I'm eating healthy, so it's all good.

I'm BACK up to 228 again. Darnit. I haven't had my Big 5 in a row this week. But, I can always regroup on the weekend. Our weather has been truly Spring: upper 70's, cloudless and windy. Beautiful! So, I need to get my butt out there this weekend and walk away the pounds!

How's everyone else?

Hi turtles

I?m still here! I?m doing very well with this WOE but I?m drowning myself in work! *LOL*
TOM is here and I had some weight fluctuation. I was sooo happy because I reached the 180's. I was at 189.4 from wednesday until yesterday! Today I was up to 190.5. No too bad because during TOM everything is possible!

Hope you all have a great week.

See you
Big hugs
Juliana
