Hello Low Carb Friends:I just want to let you know (esp. those of you who read my post about having no energy at all), that I got my energy back...all of it!!! It was not a health issue at all. My husband started to feel very sluggish also. We've been doing atking since January and did quite well accept for the tiredness. Well, what did we do? My husband suggested that perhaps I wasn't getting enough carbs. I would also wake up with headaches every a.m. I had to break my plan to re-gain my energy and sanity. All it took was 1 glass of my old Go-lean soy protein shake with 1 glass of Rice milk. Before too long, I was back to where I started energy wise. He had some of my drink and also felt more energy. The funny thing is that I stopped going to the gym for about 30 days (approx). because I had NO energy. After that shake, I went to the gym yesterday, exercised moderately, woke up this a.m. without a headache and I certainly can think more clearly now. Coupled with the fact that I have my character back (meaning no more temper). So this is definitely news I should deliver, especially to those who experience low energy and who are new to the Atkins Diet. Suggestion: incorporate more carbs when needed until you get to your goal. I felt awful too, but it's the better of two evils...if you know what I mean. So from now on, I will continue to eat low carb because I love the results, but I will also take better care of my temple when my energy drops...so important. And hey...to all of those who responded before, thank you for your support. Best Wishes to All, Colette

| Glad you're feeling better. You seem to have figured out what works best for YOU, and that's great. Low-carb eating is definitely an experiment of one, and we all have to use our intelligence and judgment in choosing our plans. Best wishes. |
