Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the wonderful comments...as I have said before, I surf several lowcarb websites, but I feel like this is home.

And yes, if I can do this, anyone can. Believe me, I had no self control when it came to my eating habits before and I always thought it was because I was weak and had no willpower. Had I only known the power that eating lc would give me, I wouldn't have spent so many years beating myself up!

Also, thanks for the encouragement to write a success story...I am not quite sure I am ready for that yet.

BTW, I saw my mom and dad yesterday (they live 2 hrs away) and they are looking and feeling much better. My dad is still sore after almost two months, but he is definitely much improved.

Meg

Meg....I am so happy for you....

As an "oldbie" who just came back as a "newbie" is was very encouraging to read your wonderful story! It gives me confidence that I really can do it...and losing over 100 lbs is an awesome thing to accomplish! You have a lot to be proud of...

And that's where I am now - having to lose over 100 lbs. - weighing in at about close to 300 lbs...

I don't know when I'll get there and I have no deadline....but I will....

Thanks again for your inspiring story...

Ginni

meg... first let me tell you that i am so GLAD that your parents are both doing better now...

secondly ... i am REALLY happy to hear that you were able to keep your plan in place INSPITE of the stress..(and believe me.. that was SOME stress you had goin there.... wow..)

third... thanks for sharing your accomplishment with us.. and what it meant to you... not ONLY in terms of physically... but the part about knowing that you ACCOMPLISHED something that you didnt know before was possible... and that THAT feeling means so very very much..

fourth... i was particularly impressed with your comments about how you felt better than you did in your 20's... because i believe it IS important that people dont feel that there is an AGE that they should just give up at...

i'm 52... and like yourself... i TOO feel better now then i did in YEARS .. many years... and i look forward to doing MORE than i have so far... so that i can enjoy my grandchildren... as much as i am able to ... and heck... maybe even GREATgrandchildren someday... i want to be able to keep up with them...and not just be that GRAMMY that sits in a chair and feeds em cookies *L*...

CONTINUED SUCCESS meg...and gosh darn it... it is WELL deserved!

appreciate your letting us share this wonderful milestone... and the many more to come!
