| I have not been able to find a carb count for matzo ball soup anywhere! Does anyone know the count on a bowl of matzo ball soup - figure one large matzo ball and I would forego the noodles, so it would be broth and the matzo ball... I am talking about Jerry's Deli for those familiar with it! |

| In Fitday, one matzo ball is listed at 48 calories, 1.7 gm fat, 6.21 carbs, of which .21 is fiber. This is made of matzo, shortening, and egg. It didn't say how BIG that matzo ball was, but the ingredients listed add up to about 143 gms. Personally, one soggy matzo ball isn't worth the white flour carbs. I'd rather eat the noodles. |

| Matzo balls are made from matzo meal which is just refined white flour and water. From everything that I can see a matzo balls carb content can range from 8 to 15 grams per ball. Probably has to do with size. Not exactly Atkins or low carb friendly. I don't know about the soup base, as that can vary greatly between recipes.
