Default I don't care about the numbers!

I'm finally there! Not to my goal but to the point that I don't care anymore. I've been at my first goal which was a size 12. I started eating bad carbs here and there last week. I indulged this weekend at the World of Nations and at Ramirez Restaurant where I took my students for authentic Spanish food. Well I am SOOOOO tired that I did not want to go to work today. I have been tired since Monday and lethargic since last week andI can't shake it. It's killing me to go to sleep and take a nap because I can't relax enough to go to sleep. I haven't been drinking water like I'm supposed to for almost 2 weeks now!! So I think that my body is trying to tell me something and I am ALL ears! I had a completely wonderful LC dinner last night (I was LC all day) and I felt more energized after eating. I had yellow squash (which I eat EVERYDAY I'm hoping I'm not going to get tired of it but I can't help but eat it), LC mac and cheese w/ dreamfield's noodles, and steak from a couple of days ago and water. I felt smarter after eating that instead of the carb ridden stuff I have been subjecting my body to!

I still feel lethargic but I'm going to need a few days to feel completely better. Oh yeah and my ACV. I really fell off the wagon when I ran out of VCO, I wish there was a store here that I could go buy it at! I buy the nature's vision (I think..the one everyone here raves about)

When my car was out of commision I had to get a ride from a fellow teacher and she drinks dunkin' donuts coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker but I'm semi hooked and now I have to cut THAT bad habit!! I really think they put a very addictive drug in their coffee because I'm the type of person who drinks coffee once a blue moon, when I want something hot but not hot chocolate or tea bc I really don't like those either. My main love has always been water and milk. I didn't have to give up soda because I don't drink it. I may drink diet soda once every 3 months.

ANYHOW this was all to say that I don't care about the numbers because after feeling like crap for the last week. I just want my energy back! Thanks for reading my rant!

Actually, this is a very good rant. Because it points out what is important: feeling good and eating healthy - as opposed to worrying always about "the numbers".

I'm glad you posted it!

I had felt bad for so long when I ate badly in March. LC really does help energy levels and how you feel.

The numbers aren't so important. I know what my goal is weight-wise but I really would love to get into a 12 as well.

I agree with Andrea, good rant.

I remember it well: the Christmas Cheat. I ate junk for about 5 days, gained 11 pounds and felt like a Kenworth haulin' logs ran over me. A small cheat here and there, yes, but the whole couple of days worth leaves me feeling like the bottom of a shoe too. This keeps me from going on days-long binges anymore!

I actually experimented when I first started lowcarbing. I had donuts for breakfast and couldn't stay awake enough to do paperwork. I call it "carb hangover". Next day, I had eggs and bacon. No problems.
