| Hello. I was on this board back in 2001/2002. Things looked a bit different, but i notice a few people stuck around. I recall LCandrea and a few others from back then. That was the time when some of our members were on the Donahue show promoting lowcarb. Anyway, back then I started at 188 lbs (5'9" male, age 27). I almost reached goal of 160 Lbs after 7 months. The lowest I got was 162. I gradually stopped lowcarbing and the weight slowly crawled back on. As of yesterday, I was officially 188 lbs again, so I decided to make things right again. This time is different because I found out my LDL is really high, and I don't want to be so unhealthy. I have a new little baby girl, and I want to make sure I live long enough to see her grow up. I am more determined this time. I previously endorsed consuming a HUGE amount of chicken because I believed chicken is real good food for lowcarbing. I still believe that....and I still love eating chicken. I hope to share joy and excitement with everyone on this board. I notice there is a photo section now... I love the beautiful pictures. This board has some really fine-looking people! |

| Welcome back, Kel. We're glad to have you back in the neighborhood. Many of us find motivation to make this a way of life not just to normalize our weight and maintain it, but because of the many associated health benefits. I love chicken, too. 'Specially the skin when it's nice and crispy.
