I am at the stage where people have started to say. Wow you've lost weight. I really love hearing that. I am really enjoying this WOE. I am not really finding it difficult at all. Even though the weight loss has slowed down I feel good about the rate the weight is coming off.I am also happy with what and how much i am eating.. I have become a compulsive label reader though..I now just need to start exercising as i haven't managed it yet. I have also been able to drink alcohol with diet coke/pepsi and still manage to lose so it makes it even easier to stick with as you can have a few drinks.... I am happy.

For me - the actual food and way I feel is more important than loosing the weight I think? (Mind you - I'm not objecting to that either! ) I don't worry if I don't loose any really. I'm already delighted with how far this WOL has taken me. There is only one place I know where the Kauri grows so beautifully - am I right?

Yes, that's a great feeling. Glad you're enjoying it! And becoming a compulsive label-reader is a good thing, too. You know, we never think of ourselves as being "observed" by others. I work in a corporate office, where I see the same people day in and day out. It's been more than eight years since my largest weight loss (50 lbs.) Not long ago, someone I didn't even know said, "I'm really impressed with the way you've kept the weight off." They said it politely--but still, it was a little startling. Then again, haven't I been an "observer" of others?! Being a weight management expert makes us all too conscious of how others are managing theirs, I'm afraid. I want to encourage you to get going on that exercise plan. That is the real secret to long-term weight management and, even better, anti-aging. People can't believe it when I tell them how old I am. Cardio exercise, strength training, and stretching will make the best of your new body long into the future.

| Congrats on your losses, kauritree! It is great when people notice. It took about 30 pounds for people to start saying something to me and then when I hit about 50 lost they really commented. It helps with the journey that's for sure.

I am in New Zealand beachfox. Beautiful country. I don't know of many places over here that are into Low Carb Eating It would be nice to know where to get some of the ingredients people mention. But at least not being able to get them i am just eating good wholesome healthy fruit and veges (not much fruit at this stage) meat is not a problem for me as i love it and also we have a small farmlet so I raise a beef now and again to eat. this WOE is perfect....I have gone from buying a 10kg sack of spuds a week/fortnight to buying a 2kg bag about every month to feed the rest of my family. It makes you aware how much you used to eat potatos Scary.... Have a nice day everyone I have a day off work and I am going to mow the lawns and take my dogs for a big walk..See I am trying to exercise a bit more..

Ah - thought so kauritree - the beautiful land of the Long White Cloud. Great to have someone else chatting from this side of the world - albeit an ocean apart! Yes, same here in Aus - can't get most of those items. But that's OK - we both get lots of great fresh food and especially with a farmlet you would have good access. Exercise is fantastic for bringing down the further lbs - but mostly it engenders such a feeling of well being - its become really necessary to me nowdays! All the best!
