| Hey everyone I have less than 20 pounds to go until I reach my goal and I am finding that they are going very slowly, and when I do drop a few pounds I put them on very very easily. Is there a forum/club here for those of us with less than 20 pounds to go? Are there many of us out there?

| I have 10 pounds to go on the scale, but I need to gain more muscle weight too so it's more than 10 pounds of fat to shed. I've had my ups and downs weight wise; currently I'm back to where I was a year ago with a slow 10-15 pound gain-then-loss in between. I'm completely dedicated to the program again and working hard to make this long-term. A big part of this is changing my lifestyle to support my new habits -- including needing to make exercise a bigger priority. I can lose most of the weight, but my old habits sneak in too often and take over. I'm sick of that. This time I'm trying to put in as many roadblocks as possible to stop that from happening and actually get and keep a fit body. I want to enjoy it long term instead of regularly gaining back 10 pounds or more! ~ Linda

| Maybe we can form a club to support each other, give other hints, tips etc. I am wondering whether Challenges would be the best forum. I have 13 pounds to go.

| Alcmene, I had the same experience with losing the last 10 lbs. At the time, there were about 4 to 6 others here in the same situation - wanting to lose that last 10 to 20 lbs. We started a support thread in the Ongoing Weight Loss forum; it was called something like "For those with less than 10 lbs to lose". All of us posted regularly about our progress, pitfalls, and strategies. Sometimes, a moderator or other veteran would join us with shared wisdom. I found it took more effort to lose the last 10 pounds. I started keeping a closer eye on total calories and substituing more veggies for high fat snacks like porkrinds, nuts, sausage, etc. I also walked more regularly and for longer periods. Later, after I'd been at my goal weight for a few months- and presumably at a new set point - I could relax and eat more of the higher fat foods again. Almost 2 years into maintenance, I still find that I do so much better when I include some vegetables into my breakfast.

| I have also noticed the last 10 pounds of so are so difficult to lose. I have also been watching my calorie intake along with the carbs and getting more exercise. Lunches are always a salad with a little bit of protein such as tuna or chicken. |

| I have between 10-15 pounds. (haven't weighed in a while due to the Labor day challenge thread). I have been working on these last pounds for way too long now. Keep gaining and losing the same 5 or so over and over and over......

| OWL might be a better place than a Challenge. I plan on this taking me a while. I only want to lose it one last time and I'd rather have it go slowly than ever come back again! If you want to post a challenge, though, you'll probably get some takers. ~ Linda

| man i am totally stuck in the last fifteen. it's discouraging, knowing that it'll come but that it's just taking forever. let's do a challenge, eh? maybe that's what we need to kick it into high gear.

| Im nowhere near my last 10-20lbs and im really seeing a terrible creep. I cant imagine how it's gonna be when I do get to that point, but whatever the case I'll be ok, im in this for life anyway. I think right now Im just in a sort of stall, where i lose 1 or 2lbs a month, lol. However Im so pleased with the toning that's happening to my body, especially my legs, they look like athletes legs. Now if I could only get this stomach to cooperate like that, lol.

| During the last 10 to 15 lbs, my already slow rate of loss (hey, I am over fifty!), definitely slowed down and I was in a lose two/gain two pattern for quite a while. I really had to tweak my eating habits, as what had worked so well before was no longer working that great. Finally, I guess I realized that my much smaller body ( Now, I got all anal about it - I weighed, measured, and logged every smidgen of food that passed my lips. But, basically all I ~really~ did was cut back portions on the higher fat foods by about 10 to 20%. I.e., Less cream and substituted Half-n-half when I did use cream Smaller servings of beef or pork Smaller and less frequent servings of cheese, nuts, or nut cakes When I was really stuck, I totally gave up salty high fat snacks like pork rinds, bacon, sausage, and LC chips I replaced those kinds of foods with veggies and flaxseed meal - much more nutritional bang for buck and high fiber to boot. I know there are a lot of different approaches to getting over that last bit of weight loss, but that's the kind of thing that worked for me, finally. .

| let's shoot to get those last little guys out of there by the end of the year. i realize that that seems like a long time, but obviously we all know that the last little bit is going to take longer than the rest which, if you're like me, seemed to just fly off. what do y'all say? let's be at goal by new year's eve. any takers?
