| I don't do well with bars, especially those that advertise NET carbs. However, I play in a band and sometimes I need to have one on me for emergencies as I could be out from 5pm till 5am at night what with sound checks, carrying equipment etc. Has anyone tried the GoLower bars? I like the look of the nut ones, and they claim to not be sweetened with polyols.

| I have kept most bars out of my house and mouth....lol however, I have found one that I can keep and use sparingly... usually on the weekend when I go to the gym for more than one workout (2+ hours there) they are made by herbalife.... they cost 18.00 for a box of like 14, they have 21 grm of protien and i believe 7 carbs, with 2 or three fiber... can't remember exact counts... they are not very sweet ( to me) and I can eat half before one workout and the other half before the second workout...

I'm thinking of making some of Maggie's LC Biscotti to serve as an easy to carry along food. I normally use cheese sticks, celery w/peanut butter, or hardboiled eggs for carry alongs; but those foods don't work well during the hot summer months.

| I found some information on an alternative medicine site about the oligofructose syrup and it sounds like it might actually be a GOOD thing: Here you can read for yourself -- scroll down about 1/2 to 3/4 down the page... he even mentions these new "GoLower Bars." http://www.mendosa.com/diabetes_update_82.htm HTH,

| Wow thanks! I liked the look of them as they seem much healthier, and they don't net carbs, what you see is what you get.

| Hi I work for Go Lower, so for your information. All out products use natural ingredients, no Maltitol, Sorbitol, Splenda etc. We are currently distributed in the UK and Sweden but have had a lot of interest from the USA, and looking at starting distribution there in the Fall. Oligo-Fructose is a natural extract of Chicory (inulin) that is used to bind the bars. It is a pre-biotic and therefore is not absorbed and labelled as a fiber. | Well, I just had the nut bar this morning with a cup of tea and it was prtty good, but then again I love nuts. I have also bought the coconut one and will be trying it out after i saw what effect eating the nut one has on me. Thanks for your post Kevin, I am sure some of my American friends would love to have a taster of these fabulous bars.
