I guess she decided to let someone else market her stuff. It's a fine product, and what I used before locarber went under.

And I found this stuff as an alternative to liquid Splenda.

And then there's this product.

Yeah, Maggie....I tried to go to the locarber.com site and find a link posted eons ago, and got the dreaded 404error page.

I've PM'd you with the contact info.
I would love to have that info also if it is still available. Thanks1

Their patent on Splenda runs out next year. Which means there will be a multitude of generic forms of Splenda in our future, some of which will almost certainly be liquid... and CHEAP.
So how come Walmart can market Altern? I was assuming it's the same thing as Splenda... am I wrong?

And I'm not clear on the difference between Sweetzfreez and the stuff you got on locarber.com... could someone clear it up?

Thanks!

Altern appears to be a generic of splenda. It's sucralose plus whatever else they add to make it powder. Is there a liquid Altern?

The only difference between Sweetzfree and the stuff from locarber is that the Sweetzfree is MUCH more concentrated.

More info is here:

I haven't seen a liquid Altern, or I'd have been all over that!

It's much easier to get Sweetzfree now than it was a year or so ago. True, the site is only open for buying three days a month, but the buying period usually lasts about 24 hours, so most everyone has a reasonable chance of ordering. I'm really hoping for a generic and readily available liquid splenda soon, though.

That's true, Bren. I recently ordered there, since the Florida people have discontinued their product. I got there a couple of hours into the "window" and had no problems at all.

It's a good product, is packaged well, and arrives promptly.

I've ordered Sweetzfree several times and have always had a good experience.

As Maggie said, it's packaged well and arrives on time.
