Default My progress OWL weeks 1 to 4

Just had to share my OWL week 1 progress - a loss of 1.6 kg (3.5 lbs) and I went down a size in clothes.
:jumpgreen
I know a lot of people stay on induction until they are much closer to their goal weight, but moving to OWL has actually given me my third highest weekly weight loss since I started ANA. The only weeks that were better were my very first two weeks on induction.

Also in the past I haven't had much problem losing weight on low fat diets, my problem has always been sticking to the low fat diet and keeping the weight off after in that really tasteless woe. So for me I think it is really really important to work out my CCLL.

Thank you for the update Colleen. Loving Low carb is easy, isn't it! Just about every diet works if you stick with it. This woe is just the easiest to stick to.

Its been my experience that sticking to the WOE (day in and day out!) is the key to permanent loss. So pleased you have found a plan that suits you Dragon! Up there Cazaly!

Hadn't really planned to add a new food this week but I found a low carb wrap, 3g carb per wrap, that I couldn't resist trying. I'm a Mexican food junkie and one of the things I miss the most is tortillas.

Tonight I made up some minced beef with burrito spices and butter beans instead of kidney beans so couldn't resist trying one of these wraps. The whole thing was quite satisfying. The rest are in the freezer (recommendation of the store I bought them at). The proof will be in Sunday's weight. Just so you don't think the meal was unbalanced, I also had heaps of salad - cos lettuce, cherry tomatoes & cucumber.

It was also easy, my son was able to have burritos with normal tortillas and I had one with the low carb wrap. The interesting thing is that in my pre-LC WOE days I probably would have had two or three burritos, tonight I was really full after one.

Thanks for sharing Colleen. Your loss was awesome. It's nice to hear when people do well in OWL.

I love those LC tortillas as well. They great. I hiave found a few diffrent varieties that taste wonderful in many diffreent recipes.

Thanks for the great report on your success moving into OWL.

At some point in low-carbing, your mind really does switch into a new groove. I'd say it takes at least two years. After that, the food choices and other habits of low-carb become second nature--more than any other "diet" I've ever tried. I'm very grateful for this discovery!

Best wishes!

Colleen, very cool on finding a LC wrap you can live with. And I too find that one fills me up whereas before I would have had to eat 2-3 of them to feel satisfied. I just LOVE this WOE!!!!!!!! Sounds like you do too!!!!
