Thumbs up A Very Happy Day

Hi all, I just wanted to share my good news with someone who doesn't sound tired of hearing it. I started this WOE July 3rd and lost 22 pounds in about a month. Ofcoarse I hit a major plateau.......until now! I lost 8 more pounds this week! Alot of the people on here told me not to give up when I wasnt losing and I just wanted to say thanx. (starting weight 205,down to 175) . I actually fit my butt into a size 13!!!!!!! Have not worn a 13 in about 13 years. It felt really good to shop at a non fat people store! I also wanted to share a recipe I found on this website for beef and cabbage skillet.PLEASE look it up!!!!! I was totally stuck on eating fish and salad because I was scared to eat much else.I have been eating it for a week straight now and it is the best thing I've ever tasted.(to good to be low carb).Maybe it's because of that ,I started to drop those stubborn pounds again? Please note that I did omit the green pepper and can of tomatoes for 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce and 1 1/2 tsp. of cayenne pepper. It tastes like enchilladas.(it's fantastic with a bit of sour cream)Thanx again everyone for the support!Oh I also wanted to mention that I've switched to caffeine free diet cola this week.....maybe that helped too!

I can remember FINALLY fitting into a size 13 jeans again! CONGRATULATIONS! It still thrills me to no end to zip up a size smaller than where I was a few months ago. Makes this journal all worthwhile!

That is something that I am looking forward to almost more than anything. If you've never done it or haven't for many years then it's a major deal.

Congrats on sticking with it and geting those losses going again.

I have a pair of size 13/14 Panhandle Slim jeans I am using as my "inspiration" item. On "The Biggest Loser" they all have an article of clothing they want to be able to fit into. I am 5'9", so I am in pretty good shape in a 13/14. I know I will never be an 11 again, but that's okay. Childbirth, metabolism, genetics, and age will never allow me to return to THOSE days!

Keep up the good work, canadasdee and Noel. Being slimmer and being healthier are so worth the sacrifices.

Hey!!! Congrats!!! I've been hovering at 185-188 for five months now, and just started Induction yesterday. Hoping to join you in the 170s next week too. In fact, tonight I plan on finding some tight jeans and seeing where they're at next week. thx for being an inspiration!

Hey, Niki! As I re-read my post, I think it sounds like I am already in a 13/14, but I am not.....YET! I am STILL wearing 18's, but since I've been exercising more, they are loose, but I'm not yet in a 16.

Jeans don't lie! I have some that feel tight right away when I'm up 2 or 3 pounds and some that are more forgiving. I've been totally back on plan since Sept. 3, so it's been 3 weeks and I'm feeling really good about it.

Good to see you back.

congratualtions, dee! trusting the plan and trying out different things is so helpful.

i was a little emotional the first time i was able to get some clothes that weren't plus-sizes. that was just a little over a year ago. it's a major milestone, and one that i used to think was out of my reach.

noel, i look forward to celebrating with you when you get there, too. and you're getting close to joining the 100 pound club! you go, girl!
