| So far so good, I've been sticking to it, dropped down a few lbs, I haven't been drinking my water, I need to do better with that and eat more veggies. I'm working on preparing more veggie dishes, I saw the cauliflower with cheese and bacons like stuffed potatoes, has anyone tried this dish yet? Ive been trying to do things around the house little by little, to get things prepared, thank god I'm off work right now, I couldn't do it otherwise. I wish I could excercise, does anyone have any advise to get better results if you can't excercise? Like, eat more veggies, etc ??

| Nina, congrats on the pounds lost! :jump: I have not tried that type of fauxtato but do love the mashed fauxtatos made with cauliflower. It's a great way to get veggies when you don't like veggies. Also good, the coleslaw in the recipe section. Mmm-mmm good. What are your issues/injuries that you can't exercise and perhaps someone can make a suggestion. If you have said this in another thread, sorry I missed it. There's a show on here called sit and be fit. If you can't get up and hop about it's a great alternative. So if injury is making exercise seem impossible I think we could figure something out. Water is very important. It really does help you drop pounds as well. Flush away the fat. And yes your body will adjust (at least mine did) and you won't have to pee every 20 minutes like you probably will in the beginning...or was that just me

| I am usually pretty active, I used to walk around the Lake here its about 3 miles on the weekends and do treadmill a few times a week, I even did the Bay to Breakers race which was 8 miles in May. Now I can't do much, my disc's in my back are really bad, Im having spinal fusion and waiting for surgery, I can't do much, walking, or anything else that I am on my feet. Right now I am just sticking to Atkins and hoping for the best, I want to get down as much as possible before the surgery so I can recover faster, once I do, I will be able to get back to the activities I used to do. Also I am trying to get down to 150 which is my goal weight as well. Thanks for replying

| Now I remember. Lower back. I'm sure they will have you doing physical therapy after for a long time. That may be what you should stick to for a while after the surgery. It will help you with your recovery as well as strengthening.

| Nina, My husband swims a few days per week ( he is the one who had a fusion last year). You can even get a leg float so you have minimal impact on your lower back. I think speedo makes it. I know it's coming into winter, but maybe an indoor pool at a fitness club or something? Just a suggestion (made by my man actually). Congrats on the weight loss sofar! Have a good weekend! |
