| On my morning commute, I drive right past the international headquarters of the Russell Stover candy company. Needless to say, this is a big season for them. And among their yard decorations, they're featuring a phony graveyard. What could be more appropriate!! "Eat excessive amounts of sugar and fat, and here's where you're headed!" Truth is, we'll all get there sooner or later--and I believe that a little chocolate is good for body and soul. But for me, it is no longer a Food Group. Enjoy Halloween responsibly! |

| Like the French women, I eat chocolate every day, usually Lindt's 85% bars. And I make my own chocolate bark with cocoa, extra virgin coconut oil, nuts & seeds, and a very small amount of real sweetener(usually unrefined sugar or some honey). I think real chocolate is good for your body and mind. I wouldn't think of eating any with a higher sugar content though. And I think of all the candy with sugar alcohols as plastic/fake food. For me, all the benefits and taste of chocolate are negated by the addition of tons of sweetener of any kind. Julianne(who is not afraid of fat anymore) |

| Hey, Julianne - how about posting your recipe for chocolate bark in the cooking forum or recipe section? I'm a big fan of extra noire (dark) chocolate, too. My favorite was Michel Cluziel 85% dark chocolate, but I cannot find it anymore. Sharffenberger's 85% cocoa bar is wonderful; it, too, is hard to find.
