For those of you still working on your exercise resolution, here's a poem I've kept around for years. I don't know the guy who wrote it--wish I could find him and thank him, but even GOOGLE was no help. Hope this little reminder helps you as much as it has helped me. NOT DOING IT by George Randall Griffin You're supposed to do it You've been supposed to do it for weeks But now you're really supposed to do it But it's going to hurt to do it So you're sitting there not doing it And you're so guilty that Not doing it hurts almost as much as doing it When it hurts more than doing it You'll do it.

| That poem fits so many aspects of our life. Some of us have a higher pain threshold than others. Thanks for posting it.

Heh heh, Rob. I have yet to reach my pain threshold on housework. Enter at your own risk.

That's like the dad who finds his kid smoking so he makes the kid smoke a whole pack until he pukes! So, maybe I should go out and eat 17 Hershey bars until I puke (but what if I don't?) just kidding! A great poem and an excellent exercise - to attach physical pain to the result of any action that you don't want to do - your subconscious mind doesn't know that you're lying to it, and this exercise really works! Thanks Barb!

A good friend of mine says the world is composed of two issues...pleasure & pain. We do things based on whether it will bring us pleasure or pain...and DON'T do things based on that very same principal. It's rather annoying...and slightly shocking that it can be broken down so simply....and exercise is one of those that completely fit the description.
