Default Strange growth hormone story

I've had my ears double-pierced since I was 18 (now 41.) I've easily gone 6 months without earrings for 23 years. Wore earrings less than a month ago, in fact. I'm now about 2 months into doing committed lc. Sunday (10 mins. before my party guests started to arrive) I went to put in earrings and found that one of my holes had GROWN mostly closed. DD and I sat, laughing madly becase it was so ridiculous, on the stairs, trying to repierce before the guests arrived. Barely made it.

Excess carb = excess insulin = reduced growth hormone.
LC = reduced insulin = increased growth hormone!

I am such a believer in this WOE. Makes me wonder what other "wounds" my body is busy healing, yippee! This got my 15 yo DS's attention, too. He's hasn't grown in the past 2 years and is quite short, gets teased, and got left on the sidelines during football this year due to size (this is a first - he's played for years and has always been very skilled/lots of play time.) Not coincidentally, he's a major carb addict. He's joining me today! Even DH, the "all things in moderation is best" guy, thinks this is a good idea. This is a very tough time to decarb the house, however. Much company yet to come, cookies expected, chocolate everywhere, etc. Pray for us! And send any tips you can think of!

Much love,

Fluffy

That is a bizarre side effect. I've noticed my hair growing faster but earring holes closing...very interesting.

Since I never pay attention to how quickly my owees heal I wouldn't even notice but it would be something to check out.

Interesting.....I've never studied the effects this WOL has on one's ability to heal and/or grow.....I'm just trying to shrink: it helps with that, too!
