| I had a long stall in my loss... like about 2 months. I just couldn't figure it out. The only new carbs that I'd added was an occasional small roll at lunchtime. I just couldn't imagine that one little dinner roll could just halt my loss completely. Was I ever wrong. I eliminated the rolls and the loss re-started almost immediately. Then I decided to try eating whole grain breads instead (bran, soy, wheat) and the weight loss has continued at the rate of about 2 lbs./week. I know that OWL is really a sort of project to see what your body can handle. But what a shock for me. When I think about all the sandwiches and pasta I've eaten over the years... just makes me cringe. So, I'm happy to report that since May 13, I've lost 25.1 kilos (about 55 lbs). In just 2 more pounds I'll be under 200 lbs. What a great Christmas present! I haven't been under 200 lbs in 13 years. My BMI is right at 30. It's the little victories that are so thrilling. Keep it up low carbers... and stay away from that refined flour! |

| White bread is my BIG downfall. not only because it throws me for so many days but because its like a shot of liquor to an alcoholic for me. One piece is too much and 1000 not enough. You're doing great 55 pounds since May is awesome! Under 200 even better.

...WTG Lola...awesome results. Like Noel, bread is my absolute 'trigger' food...just can't stop at one bite, so must avoid it at all cost!! |

| Good work, Lola. I haven't knowingly had flour or sugar in years. Ya really don't miss it after a while.

| White bread (and pasta) never seem "worth it" to me. Unlike Maggie, I can't claim not to have tasted sugar--but I find that a square of sugar-free dark chocolate works just fine for a treat when that sweet jones goes off. Awesome results for you, Lola. Congrats. Wondering how Paris, the city of exquisite cuisine, works for low-carb eaters? I know it helps to have butter included in the options. |

| Hmmm...low-carb wheat tortillas are my new weakness. I stick to two (at 6 net carbs a piece) and everything seems to be going alright. If I even think about white bread, rolls, baguettes, pizza, etc., my OWL program would go down the drains! |
