| A number of you will remember my posts and some of the struggles I've had, and although am not at my goal weight yet (I will elaborate some more), I want to thank those who encouraged me along the way. Truly this site was the thing i needed to get me started on eating the low carb way. I started at about 180 pounds, and my height is 5"3. I had my ups and downs, faltering here and there. But, according to the scale at my clinic, my weight is 151 now, and in some ways, I feel am too skinny, (lol). my scale at home says a higher figure, but hey, who am i to argue (lol). My dress size was 14 for a very, very, long time, and shortly before I started, I had begun to wear 1X, and that was very frightening to me. I had begun to buy clothes in the Plus size department and it was depressing because the styles are so 'not nice'. Am glad to report that am down to a size 11/12 (normally) and can't even say that that is my size because 8's are fitting, and my 11/12's are getting baggy every day. My waist is down to 32.5. It was 38!! I still wear some of my size 14 clothes because some are still comfortable, but when i look in the mirror, i cannot believe that that slimmer person i see is me, and getting slimmer everyday. Presently, I feel okay with the weight that I am at, but don't mind going down exactly 10 pounds more, which will not be so hard, but my friends are all telling me not to lose too much weight. I am happy as is, but will be even happier ten pounds less. Besides, i was once 118 pounds, so I know 140 will not look 'too skinny' as they warn me about. Thanks again for all your encouragement. I hardly visit the site anymore due to time and other factors, so wanted to officially say thank you and give my 'report'. (lol). God's blessings to all. Gospelgyal |

| Dorecia- thanks for sharing your progress with us today! and don't worry too much about the warnings of family and friends: although i know they mean well, they have to get used to the new you and so often jump the gun with warnings. (my mom was telling me i was too skinny when i got down to a size 16! they have since adjusted to my newer, lower weight.) there's nothing better than being at peace with your body, and feeling good about where you are, even if you do want to go a little further. congrats and thanks for the positive vibes today! |
