I am off induction, and from 216.0 post induction up to 219.0 today? Well, it is not even a week post induction completion, can this be true? I think, my body is fighting the weight loss idea, but I was good with my meals even at Christmas time... Upset :( P.S. It is too early to thing like that, I am doing well, and I will continue my program.

rafaella-it's quite common to see normal fluctuations of a few pounds here and there. it's the overall trends that you're looking at. many people will only weigh in occassionally (like maybe weekly) to avoid getting discouraged over minor fluctuations. many things, like time of day day (or month, for ladies), water consumption, the types of foods you've been eating, etc. will impact this. your weight can vary by pounds in a single day. so if you notice a little flux here or there, it's safe to ignore. if, however, you notice something more like a trend, then it's time to identify what's up. bodies are less precise than we'd like them to be sometimes.

Thanks, Goddess, I was sick on Christmas, and I was wondering if that was related to weight going up and some other alterations in water balance. I had cold and felt very ugly. I am doing better, and , overall, I feel ok - and to add to it, I still doing my LC WOL well. I will monitor my weight over the next month to see the "whole" picture.

I will bet the cold had alot to do with it. I'm sure you've heard this but did you take your measurements before you started this WOL?? It is helpful to re-measure when the scale is playing mind tricks with you, so you can see that inches are gone even if the scale does not reflect that. I'm glad your felling better, bummer being sick over the Holidays, or you could look at it as a blessing, Why cheat and put something in your mouth if you can't even taste it! sounds like your doing really well so far, Keep up the great work!!

Rafaella, you have quite a way to go, so don't panic. You are now in training. Just say to yourself, "I am not on a diet...I am in training." Think of it as a three-year educational program, like a college degree or something. Three years from now, you will be at a healthy weight, and effortlessly (more or less) following the LC program you've made second nature--a way of eating your body truly enjoys. P. S. My weight, which has been rock steady for months, jumped FIVE lbs. up and down during this week. I thought some of it might be permanent, but it wasn't. Go figure.
