Everything is going well here. I made myself eat dinner last night. I had tuna and mayo.

Today so far has been

2 eggs for breakfast
Sliced celery, red and green bell peppers and cucumbers for a snack
TGIF lunch - baked chicken with cheesey something or other on top with brocolli
Dinner is tbd but I will eat something

Tons of water and green tea and probably too much splenda

Thanks for the congrats Barb. I'm not sure the large loss is due to being a man or the fact that I retain water like a woman.

All Right Mary Kay!!

Good going Rene!

Yesterday went well but I see a pattern of calorie and carb creep here. each days total calories is up from the day before and almost the same with carbs.
Going to do my best today to stop that pattern before it does in my efforts.

Red face Re: New Year - New Induction

So far so good for me as well...I am down 4 lbs since Tuesday and feeling pretty good. I haven't been really strict, because I ate some parsnips, which had more carbs than I realized and I also indulged in a few nuts. However, I feel like I have crossed a major hurdle...I am in control again. The rest should follow!

It's really great to be back here...I didn't realize how much I missed this place which had been a part of my daily life for over a year! You all are such an incredible group of people!

Today is day three....
I ended yesterday with 28 carbs, and 1459 calories
* shooting for calories under 1500, and carbs under 30
not bad for day two, went to a rosebowl party and had to leave at half time cause someone bad brought a home made pecan pie... and I didn't want to be tempted... went home and ate a slice of swiss cheese and piece of ham...

working on it....walked 1/2 hour yesterday during lunch...
didn't go to gym this morning, needed sleep. so have to walk to get
something in today.

It was a struggle to go to the gym yesterday, but I did it. Today I feel better than I have for weeks. All those little (sometimes not so little) treats lured me away. Emotionally I feel better since I am actively doing some thing about my weight rather than just thinking about it. I am going out for dinner Friday night and then the weekend after that. I can usually stay on track during the week, the weekends are much harder. I suppose I better do some planning tonight so I can stay true to what I need to do.
I won't get on the scale until next week. For me the scale is a no win thing. If I am doing really well I think I can slack off, if I am doing really poorly I think what's the use.
Everyone have a good day!

I'm down 5 lbs as of this morning from Jan 01. Staying right at 20-22 carbs and 1200-1300 calories. I've had the ol*induction fatigue*, but think I must be snapping out of it today. Getting all my water in for the most part, and about 3 mugs of GT....just love that stuff!

Meg!!! So glad you are back with us! Your avatar looks fantastic!

OK....let's all keep on keepin' on!

Been *legal* all week Getting in the water pretty good, and usually 2-3 mugs DCGT.
Down another half this morning for a total of 5.5 lbs. I'm hopeful that the holiday gain will soon be gone <insert crossed fingers here!>

Sounds like everyone is doin' grrrrrreat!!!!!

Well, ratz!
Did pretty good on the calories today(1400), but had 27 carbs...dang it! Finishing the last of my water, then will have one more mug of DCGT.
I'm hopeful for a good weigh in in the morning

How'd everyone else's day turn out?

seven days and proud of myself. Monday I'm going to try 'walking' tape again.
I love my daughter, but I am so ready for her to go back to school.

7 days for me as well! The 5 1/2 pounds I reported wednesday ended up being 4 1/2 this morning. But I had a stomach virus for 2 of the 3 days previous to wednesday and was probably dehydrated. Not to mention a very high salt day yesterday with both sauerkraut and smoked herring.

7 days here and 3 gone. Two pounds appeared midway, but they're gone too. I think I'm over the "atkins flu" portion of induction and I feel pretty good.

Dinner was kebabs on the George Foreman and cauliflower mashed potatoes. DH tolerated it and my little guy loved it.

*Official* weigh in was this morning...down 6 lbs for week #1 of induction. I'm very happy to say the least
Went to the gym today; working my way back up on the workouts, but today I did 40 min of cardio with 20 min stairmaster and 20 min extreme treadmill...sweated the big one...LOL.

OK everyone....let's kick some more booty this second week!!!!!

One week and four lbs. down. I figure at least some of that is fat weight. I've been totally honest over there at Fitday.
