Glad to see you Barb! I need to check in here more - everyone is doing so well. That gives me the strength to keep at it!

I have done well, except for one day last week. I had a funeral to go to, and there was a lunch afterwards...not a whole lot of choices for me there, but did the best I could. Tuesday will actually mark my full week of induction so we'll see. Then its continuing into my second week. I had the same Adkins fatigue some of you talk about. I sure hope its out of my system now.

Started the day off great - an omlet and bacon, and a cup of green tea. Now its off to the treadmill.

Great job everyone!

Yay. Barb is here!

I'm down 3.5 pounds and I got a great recipe for a casserole that I'm going to make today. Induction weight loss isn't as quick as it was last time, but I expected that after what I've read.

I'm in ketosis consistently and I'm re-reading my book.

today is day 8, weigh in today showed an 8 lb loss, and I am very happy with that... upped my exercise this year... trying to walk with the walking ladies at lunch for a 1/2 hour 3-5 times a week, this added to my already rigous schedule of water aerobics Tues, thurs, and sat, water volleyball on sat and sunday, and swimming 3/4 mile on m, w, and friday....

Trying to see movement this year and so far it seems to be working.
one day at a time, one meal at a time....

Good for you Carolyn! You sure should see some movement - that's quite a bit of exercise.

I'm doing well. The past 2 mornings I've had Maggie's cereal for breakfast, for dinner tried a LC taco soup recipe I found, and several salads in between, so I'm feeling good with my choices. The induction weight is definitely slower than it used to be, but I just keep trying.

Hi ALL!!!

Well, I have to say, I HATE INDUCTION!!!! LOLOLOL Gosh, it's been so long, I had forgotten how little there is to eat during this time (compared to what you can have on OWL and Maintenance.) I had gotten so I was eating an apple with organic (no hydrogenates) peanut butter once in awhile, a bowl of rolled, long cooking oatmeal once in awhile, snacking on nuts freely, making my "cake" concoction. I've had to cut ALL that fun stuff out for now. I have to re-think EVERYTHING. I'm journalling what I'm eating, found my food counts book and have to look everything up again. What a pain. So far, the scale says I haven't shed one steeeeeeeenking pound yet. (but I haven't gained anything either. I would be shocked if I did. ) I have kept the net carbs around 22-25 and calories under 1500.

I'm on day 3 and am going to go shopping later and stock up on more SALAD stuff. All I have on hand is meager iceburg lettuce. I hope to find some good baby spinach and romaine plus peppers, cukes, tomaters (a teesy bit), cheese, celery, etc. I need to stock up on broccoli, cauliflower, etc. Gotta get back to the basics.

I find I am relying on my old stand-by......MOCK DANISH!!!! Glad I still love that and also my beloved eggs. Never get tired of that stuff. I calculated my "enhanced" Chocolate Atkins shakes and it figures out to be 4 net carbs, so I am allowing myself that chocolately goodness. It's a little high on calories, but at this point, I don't care. I'm going to Curves later on today too. (after I go back to bed.......woke up at 4:30am and couldn't go back to sleep 'cuz I was going to an Aldi's hiring. So I went to that and can now relax and go back and get some weightloss/beauty sleep. LOL)

Keep up the good work everyone, y'all are doing GREAT!!!!!

still doing it. on day 11 of induction and finding it almost too easy now. If anything, needing to force myself to eat. No cravings, appetite not really there.
water is still my biggest problem. so, force feeding that down today.

I was back at 197 this mornng, but that was after a day with not a lot to eat, and no water.
so, today, will eat my normal around 1200-1300 calories, under 20 carbs, and get at least 90 oz of water.
I know the water helps alot, skipping it usually adds back around 1-2 lbs.

I want this 197 to stick this time - or less!!!

You too Barb

I weighed in 4.5 pounds lighter this morning. I'll take that. I need to start using fitday so I can get more accurate count. I suspect my calories are high.

once I got past the couple of days I usually ended up failing at - it seemed much easier.
I'm doing fine, enjoying my days - not feeling deprived at all.
I'm really considering going ahead and doing an extra 2 weeks after - I'm quite happy - then I'll start moving up.
I'm not afraid of OWL, just not in the mood for it just yet.

Ind Day #11 for me also. Bouncing around between pale pink and med pink on the ketostix.(which before I could NEVER get into ketosis and STAY there). Have been in ketosis since Jan 3rd. I had a little run in with some natural PNB last night... :(
Was up half a stinkin' pound this am.
Went to the gym today; 20 min stairmaster and 37 min extreme treadmill.
4 bottles of water in so far, and 2 mugs dcgt.
Rotisserie chicken and LC slaw for dinner...yummers!

happy trails!

OH Shell!!! What a GREAT idea. I have Cabbage, I think I'll make some slaw!!!!! Thanks for the idea!!!! I have a pk roast in the oven tonight and decided to eat as much as I want. I'm STARVING right now, but it's too close to dinner to eat anything, so I'll wait. I think I am going to get some K-stix. I also got some tri-color peppers and cukes today at Sam's. So I'm going to have a HUGE salad with din-din too!!!!! YUM!!!!!

Wow we're all doing great!

I do a mid-week sneak peek weigh-in on wednesday mornings and I was down another 2 pounds. Hope it sticks for my official weigh-in Sunday.
