Lightbulb New Year - New Induction

I know I intend to do a full 2week induction starting with the first of the year. I see many others who have been doing this for a while planning the same thing.

So, lets have a thread for support, chat, whatever you need to help you through it again.

I, for one, am going to need all the help I can get.

I'm in! Today is my birthday and dh got me a delicious cake and yes, I had some. Tomorrow I am ready to start my new year and my new "age" with healthy attitude and appetite!
DH and I smoked turkey, pork loin and some chicken and apple sausages tonight. They will be sooooo good to eat during the next few days. It should be easy to recommit with all that yummy food around.

Count me in! Monday is a good day to start things, so that's my kick-off for an induction refresher. It helps that I have some delicious leftover turkey and ham to look forward to. 2006 is the year of my 60th birthday. What better time to recommit to health and fitness?

Best wishes to everyone on the journey.

Is there room in here for another? I started re-inducting a few days ago, but it's pretty close.

My first task is to figure out what to take for lunch for work. That's the hardest part for me. So far my list includes ham salad and...OK, so far we just have ham salad.

Renee, if you like tuna...there you go. Can of tuna, a little chopped celery, a little seasoning, bunch of mayo...you're good to go. That's my plan anyway. Oh, and I love deviled eggs. Shopping list: get more eggs.

Day 1 (for me)
got turkey cooked and cut, cucumbers cut and ready, bags of salad, got some deviled eggs, herbal tea ready.
So glad there are so many of us here to support each other. I just have to get through one day at a time.

MONDAY morning, and I'm off and running. Probably to the bathroom, as I get my water intake back up to the optimum level.

I made bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast--just as a reminder that Induction doesn't equal deprivation. I'll be reporting to Fitday as well, to keep myself honest.

I've taken measurements (weight, etc.) I'm not far above my maintenance weight, but I wouldn't mind going a little below in the next few weeks. Never happy, are we??

Best wishes everyone.

I spent some time yesterday chopping veggies for snacking at work. I also made a low carb chili ala Low Carb and Lovin' it. Both containers are in the fridge right now keeping me honest.

I'm still wondering if I should get some Atkins shakes to keep in my desk, but I'd rather not if I can avoid it. I'm really trying for whole, real food.

Breakfast this morning was 2 poached eggs. I've had tons of water and decaf green tea. So far so good

began yesterday, and made it through the day - YEAH!!!
more water than I have been drinking, but not as much as I should, although there were multiple nighttime trips to the potty.

started today with cheese omelet and a couple slice of bacon. yes, I like bacon, and no, I'm not giving that up.

Back at desk today, drinking my tea now, but switching to water as soon as that is gone.

Hello Everyone,
Count me in too. Time to get back on track. Today is my day to start, I've got my devilled eggs for lunch and salmon waiting to be cooked tonight, salad and veggies. Back to the gym this afternoon and hopefully a great low carb sleep. Really, I do sleep better when I am following my w o e.
Happy New Year!

Styarted the New year with a stomach virus so I was very very good yesterday. But today I'm feeling a lot better. So far I'm well on track. have entered all foods into fitday, including what I'll have for dinner and it amounts to less than 1400 calories and 30 net carbs. Just about where I want to be for the first 2 weeks.
