Default Eating Breakfast

I know that breakfast is essential to get your metabolism going, however, lately I have found that I cannot seem to face much food in the morning. Is it enough to have maybe a slice of ham for breakfast and then eat something more substantial like a couple of eggs maybe 2 hours later? Is a slice of ham enough to get my metabolism going?

I'm not a breakfast-eater, either. What I've been doing lately is having a hard boiled egg or a slice of lean meat with cheese in the mornings. Then, about 10:30am, I have a snack of a little cottage cheese or one ounce of cheese.

Seems to help keep the blood sugar levels even until lunch time. That and not drinking so much high-test coffee (caffeine) in the morning. I used to drink about a pot and a half each morning of the high test kind. Now I drink one cup (or so) and then switch to decaf.

i think as long as you're eating somethingn and it works for you, you're probably doing fine. if you find yourself starving later, then maybe re-think your practice. but if it's working for you, then hey, sounds like a plan to me.

Well, I used to have a big breakfast, but lately I have lost my appetite, so I am going for a small item first thing in the morning with a cup of tea and then maybe an egg mid morning. Apart from weekends when I have brunch cause I get up so late! The main thing to note is that I must have SOMETHING right? I was just wondering how small that something could be.

I get up at 5:30 and go to the gym, three days I swim and two I do water aerobics... and can't eat before I get in the pool....
so... when I get to work at 8:30, i usually carry something with me to eat...
most days it is hard boiled eggs and mayo for egg salad, sometimes, I make a mini quiche, some times I scramble lots of eggs with either bacon, or sausage, or ham and some cheese, put in container and take to work, then I spoon out how much I think I want and heat and eat...sometimes I just have ham and cheese rolled together...
