| Does anyone know if Bob's low carb baking mix is comparable to Atkins? I bought some and have been a little afraid to use it! According to the label, it is low in carbs - something like 5 gms net per 1/2 cup.... I have never used Atkins so I have nothing to compare to....

| I prefer Bob's bake mix; but I use it sparingly - mostly for breading chicken (1/2 bake mix/half ground flaxseed + seasoning). I did not like Atkins mix at all. But, it's been years since I tried Atkins bake mix, so they may well have reformulated it by now. I hope so because it was just HORRIBLE! I, who never threw away any food that wasn't turning green, tossed a 3/4 full canister of it after having a succession of absymal flops. It was terribly expensive, too - like $12 for maybe 2 to 3 lbs.

| Well, according to the nutritional information, which you can find here it is 6 net carbs per 1/4 cup. That and the fact that it contains both sugar and fructose make it a questionable product to recommend. I like Bob's whole food products, such as golden flax meal, etc., but I'd avoid this one.

| Yes, the dual post thing! I liked the Bob's flaxseed meal when I first bought it - so convenient! But last summer I bought 4 bags in a row that were very bitter (rancid). The bags were bought from 3 different stores in both Calif. and Arizona. I went back to grinding my own flaxseed after that. A couple months later, Peg got a bad bag in Mass. I think either Bob got a bad batch of seeds or maybe the distributor did not store it in chilled warehouses.
