Wink Upset Stomach

I've been doing really great on Atkins since August 05. I'm down 25 lbs with another 20 or so to go. Since Valentine's Day I've been cheating a lot, but am determined to clean up my act. However, on Monday of this week, I caught my daughter's stomach flu. Fortunatley, I'm not actually "getting sick" anymore but the thought of food (especially protein and veggies) turns my stomach. All I can tolerate is tea and saltine crackers. Is this going to be a major set back for me? Also, how long should I re-induct after I get over this stomach thing? Thanks so much!

hello bop. congrats on your success so far!

when folks are sick, i advise them to eat whatever their tummy will tolerate and what sounds appealing to them. if that means crackers and tea (or diet soda or even chicken noodle soup or whatever), then that's what i would eat. i wouldn't consider it a set-back, really, at all. it's called life, you know?

pesonally, i wouldn't bother re-inducting, either. it's not like you're going on a huge carbfest binge that you need to clean out of your system. if you do, however, feel like that's what you want to do, maybe 2-3days to get ketosis going good and strong would do it. but i don't think you will need to, myself anywho.
