Default What Did You Have for Dinner

I had a marvellous dinner.

Konnyaku noodles, stir fried in a teaspoon of sesame oil, joined by a cup of broccoli, 200 grams of king prawns and flavoured with a pinch of garlic salt, a pinch of chili powder and a teaspoon of soy sauce.

Tonight I will not actually have "dinner". We are hosting our book club and I will be serving a variety of appetizers and dessert. When I get home to begin working on the appetizers, I will gnaw on a couple of beef rib bones and finish up the last dab of twice baked fauxtatoes. After our book discussion I will nosh on deviled eggs, celery stuffed with brie and crab, mushrooms stuffed with onion, green pepper, bacon & cheese, and a super nacho spread (refried black soybeans, taco meat, cheese, green onion, diced tomato, ripe olives, sour cream & picante sauce) served with l/c chipolte crackers. Dessert will be strawberry shortcake made with an almond flour based one minute muffin.

Dinner tonight will be sauteed spinach (w/garlic), steamed asparagus and green-tea tilapia stuffed with crab claw meat. I might start with an appetizer of bacon wrapped scallops.

It's Saturday night, I love to cook and I visited the seafood counter at Giant today

I love asparagus, just wish it was not so expensive here, it is very much a luxury vegetable.

Alcmene... I can't get asparagus where I live either and I MISS it!! :crying:

...tonight was crunchy pecan chicken breasts, steamed french cut green beans with butter, and two LC truffles for dessert! - nothing fancy - but oh, so good!

Tonight I'm going to roast some asparagus, and maybe bake some fish, top it with dilled sour cream, and a salad on the side. I might even have a few berries for dessert.

Everyone's meal sound delicious!

Just finished deep fried fish (trout fillets) and since i had so much seasoned carbquick left over I made deep fried broccoli. IT was very good!

Talking Re: What Did You Have for Dinner

I marinated boneless skinless chicken breast in greek salad dressing, with a dash of worshichister, and soy. Then baked for 40 minutes. They turned out really tender, but not much flavor. I will use the leftover chicken for my salad tomorrow. I also had some yummy brussells in butter! I love this way of life. I will probably have frozen pickle juice later, not really a desert, but I had a craving for it.
