Here's a link to a blog I enjoy. The top article is a report on a recent study of low-carb and cholesterol. Ver-r-r-ry interesting.

I have a close friend who has "tried everything" to lower her cholesterol. In her case, there's a significant hereditary component, but I can't help thinking she could give low-carb a try. Unfortunately, diet is a one of those "don't go there" topics with us, along with religion. No conversion attempts allowed!!
Still, I couldn't resist forwarding this article, in the light of her latest round of cholesterol advice from the latest of her cardiologists. But no. She gave me the usual "Yes, but..." response. Too bad. I only wanted to help.
I feel sad that many people who could benefit from giving low-carb a fair try have been so put off by the scare stories. All I can do is walk the walk, and answer those who ask with the best information I know.
