Wendy's salads are awesome, one of the best as far as fast food. Love the blt salad.

Don't know if you have a backyard burger, but they have great salads too. I like their blackened chicken salad.

Hi wildplum,
Welcome to LCE.
Are you asking if the blt salad is ok for LC, or are you asking what folks think about it as far as taste etc? I think they taste pretty good, but....
it looks like the chicken blt is pretty high carb....18g carbs, 4g fiber for 14g net carbs and that is without the croutons of course, and with Caesar dressing. You can customize what you want in your salad and using the nutrition guide, see how many carbs you are getting in your salad. I was surprised to learn that many of the fast food salads were higher carb than I thought. Just goes to show I guess, that one can't be to careful and you need to check those labels/nutrition facts when you can

I was looking at that, and the ceasar, chicken is a better deal, without their dressing it is 9 grams (of course without croutons also)
But what is really a great deal at wendy's is:
get the ceasar side salad, and ask for a grilled chicken breast no sandwich, just the breast (they should only charge you 2 dollars for the chicken, and 99 for the salad) and with tax your lunch will be around 3.25 or so... I have gone to a couple of different wendy's and one wanted to give me cut up cold chicken, and I turned it back and said I want the grilled chicken breast.... So you get a nice piece of chicken and a side salad and it is usually enough for me
