Hmmmmmmmmmm. What is the food you are talking about. I would say if it has corn syrup it has carbs and the answer would be, "stay away from it". Izzy 240/180/169

A Slim Jim is a processed meat stick: "Slim Jim, mild or spicy, 1.4oz box 210 cal, 9.0 protein 2.0 carb, 19.0 fats, 25 Chol, 570 sodium and 1.0 fiber." They can get away with posting as zero carbs even with sugar in the ingredients because THEY ROUND DOWN. If you ate, say, four of them, there would be substantial carbs in that total. It's best to stay away from pre-processed foods such as Slim Jims and luncheon meats as a source of food. As an occasional snack or an on the go, out the door, "I'm hungry and need SOMETHING FAST" thing, then it's okay in moderation. I's always best to eat FOOD from its natural state, however. That's my two cents... April 352 / 205 / 180 5'10", large frame, size 13 shoe www.geocities.com/aprilreinhardt

I love the spicy Slim Jim sticks - I buy them in a round container of 25 sticks at Smart & Final. I eat maybe 2-3 a week. They are a good quick snack, if I get home from work and need something before dinnertime, which is about 2 hours later! I do try to limit my processed meats, but this one qualifies as an occasional treat to me and I truly enjoy it! Char Don't squat with yer spurs on!
