I've seen it in chewing gum, but I'm afraid I don't have any experience with it, sorry...

I haven't bought any yet, but I saw a package of it at my nearest Health food store. It was expensive. I don't want to buy any of it until the research is in and I know it's ok to consume. I really want to try erythritol instead, but just haven't ordered any online yet. Maggie knows all about this and knows where to buy it.

You're right that I haven't experimented with xylitol. I've never seen it for sale anywhere yet myself. Given my reactions to sugar alcohols with similar profiles, I'm not going to bother to test that one.

I've been playing with the erythritol in various recipes. It has some unusual reactions to various levels of heat and I have found some uses for which it's wonderful and others where it should never even be attempted. LOL!

When I get a chance, I'll post a list of current results.

Ok. I'll start a thread in the cooking forum, since that's what I've been doin with it. I'll get to it before the weekend is over.

I'm allegedly on vacation, but so far I haven't acutally had a day off except for Monday. LOL!
