Honestly, I don't care for Pepsi. I don't need more caffeine. Or aspartame. In spite of that, I tried the new Diet Vanilla Pepsi today, and darn it, it's Good. Pepsi's version has that little "bite" that the Coke version lacked, and doesn't overwhelm. I thought Diet Vanilla Coke was great, but now I have a new vice, which I've promised myself will be used sparingly and sipped slowly. Zip, you'd like this one.... Brighty (who has forsworn her beloved Pepsi), sorry..... 172/108/108 Zone since 4/98

I finished my first bottle on the golf course today! It's delicious! I found that it left me thirsty though so I had to follow it up with a bottle of water. Now I have something other than diet mountain dew to drink!

Oh, tell me you're KIDDING! I thought it was absolutely PUTRID. I took one good swallow and threw the rest out. Really. I thought it was THE most horrid thing I'd tasted in a year. Maybe it's a Coke v. Pepsi thing? I can't stand regular Diet Pepsi either.... Emelia "We can only learn to love by loving." - Iris Murdoch, Irish writer 294/208/174 since 25-Nov-01

I love it with some heavy cream. Put 2 T cream in the glass and fill with the diet vanilla pepsi. Delish. I found out when you add the cream to the soda, you have bits of cream floating around in the glass that just won't mix in smoothly.

Thumbs up for the vanilla diet pepsi. Tastes better than the vanilla diet coke.

One vote for Diet Pepsi Vanilla for me too! I didn't like Diet Coke vanilla one bit. But then, I have always been a fan of Pepsi rather than Coke anyway. And before I was LC, I liked regular Pepsi better than Coke. The Diet Van. Coke was too vanilla. The taste overwhelmed the drink. The diet Pepsi vanilla is just a hint of vanilla. I can't wait until they come out with a caffine free version. I may be waiting a long time. Until then, it will be an occational treat. Teri

Just get a Diet Rite (no caff or apertame) and add a splash of Da Vinci gourmet, or Torani vanilla. Oh heck, add the "French vanilla" and be decadent. I am enjoying a cherry cola as we speak. --jim

I use Diet Rite quite a bit, too, Jim. I prefer sucralose as a sweetener. But once in a while.....well, the devil makes me do it and I have to endulge. Better a Diet Vanilla Pepsi than some other things I can think of. Em, really? It was that disgusting? Now I thought the Pepsi Twist was revolting. It would gag a maggot, like we used to say... 172/108/108 Zone since 4/98

Far be it from me to get between anyone and their endulgences Pepsi twist was disgusting. On that we completely agree. Now, guess what I found in the pantry today. A case of Diet Vanilla Pepsi. My DW bought it the other day I guess. Now I will be forced to play the hypocrite and try some. --jim

| Jim, we won't tell if you don't! And yes, BC, I really thought it was horrid. I like Diet Vanilla Coke...I think it tastes like a cream soda with a cola kick. But Diet Canilla Pepsi? Well...words fail me. But since I don't like it, that means there's more for the rest of you! Just leave me with my DVCoke ...and my Tangerine Diet Rite! | I couldn't take the Vanilla Coke, but I like the Pepsi version. Go figure. Since I only drink about one soda a month, it will be my soda of choice from here on out. Stay the Course. |

Okay.....I just have to reply I tried Diet Vanilla Coke when it first came out and thought it was pretty good. As with all Coke, it's too sweet to me and the DVC was no exception. I was *thrilled* when I heard that DVP was on it's way to being released - I definitely like it much more than Coke's version. But again, I've always favored Pepsi over Coke. It's the argument nobody can win Ah, and for the record, I LOVE DP Twist ! Violet - The Pepsi Grrl
