Has anyone sort of relied on fast food burgers (without the bun and ketchup, of course) for lunch? I just get so tired of chicken, or salads as a main course and I just do not have time to cook a meal. I would really love to pick up hamburgers a few times a week and eat with a serving of low carb veggies or salad. I guess I am so use to fast food being bad, this is all just a little difficult for me. Please tell me what you think. Thanks!!!

I have to eat lunch out everyday. Believe me - those fast food salads get boring quick. I, personally, don't do the "get-a-hamburger-throw-bun-away" thingy - simply because it seems to me that a hamburger is too expensive and I can't bare to pay that much and throw most of the thing away. But, that being said, I think it's fine to get a burger (sans ketchup) and throw the bun away. Get a side salad with it and enjoy! Tia 170/157/130 Be still and know...

sure, you can do that. I'm not much on fast foods, but when i dont have a choice.... i'll do a grilled chx breast or double cheese burger or even triple if i'm really hungry - toss the bun and get a side salad. sure - it's costly, but sometimes i dont have a choice Terese LCE Member since 12/00 My LC web site

| The BK "Texas Burger" is a weekly staple around here. DH eat his with the bun, I eat mine without. The next day he uses my bun to make his sandwich for lunch. Yes, you can eat a burger! | I thrive on burgers. I've lost a lot of weight eating burgers. Burgers are yummy. Burgers are easy to get just about anywhere and are usually cheap. There is an enormous variety of burgers. Sometimes I wonder why I eat anything BUT burgers! |

I just order mine without the bread and they put it in a box,so you don't have to peel the cheese off the bread.

For those of you in California. Try going to In-n-Out and order your burger 'protein style'. They replace the bun with nice, large, crispy lettuce leaves. You can still eat it like a burger ie no knife and fork and it's yummyilicious! Ginger 159/149/135 Life is NOT a dress rehearsal
