I've tried to use FitDay, but for items like salads, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to plug it in to get accurate results. Any tips? It also took me forever to figure out how to get it to register a hamburger without the bun. I think it will be a great tool if I can just figure out how to use it. Thanks! Cindy

What I'm doing is putting in most of the foods as "custom".. figuring the carb count of each ingredient in the whole recipe and splitting it up into serving sizes. I did finally find the romaine, etc. just try being less specific and search all areas for the food you are looking for.. it works for me anyway.

Try "Ground Beef" for hamburger. It's there, just you have to figure the weight yourself. Most retail burgers are 1/3rd lbs before cooking, some like McD's are 1/6th.

For salad try "lettuce". They also have arugula in there too. You can edit foods using "customize food" and subtract the fiber.

I buy my salads in the bag. They have the nutrtional info on the label. Then I enter them in as custom foods like Sweetgal.

Good luck,

Information gladly given, but safety requires no unnecessary conversation.

They also have mixed salad greens. This is what I use when I have bagged salad. The carb count may not be exactly what I have eaten, but I tend to estimate higher on my unmeasured portions. For example, when I eat my flaxmeal cereal I do not fill the 1/2 c. measure all the way to the top, but I count it as a whole 1/2 cup. I figure this way I am not obsessing over every bite that goes in my mouth and I am also covering for some hidden carbs. It works for me .

I also have put ingredients into the custom foods. It is easy to do.

What I don't like about Fitday is that it has some strange food choices at the beginning and the more common foods 3 or 4 pages over. It does not seem to have any order of food listings either (is it just me?). After saying that--I love using Fitday to track my meals .
