I'm new and I can tell you I'm having a blast with this new woe. I feel absolutely great. I did induction back in July but I can't get used to the thought that I can eat cheese, nuts, bacon and not gain weight. I also exercise 5 times a week and I am starving after a work out. I feel like I can eat all day. There are days when I eat half a bar of cheddar cheese & tons of nuts. This can't be good for you. I don't know whether to count calories or just keep on enjoying all this good stuff and keep my metabolism going. Does anyone feel like they eat to much on this woe?

Actually, I'm AMAZED at how much I can eat and still maintain my best weight. Eating MORE food, eating BETTER food, feeling great, excellent health, ideal weight....gee, maybe this Dr. Atkins guy is on to something!

You can eat too much as far as nuts and foods like that goes, you have to count the carbs in them! I was trying just tonight to explain to dh why I can not have a healthy banana, about 45 carbs is why! He still dont get it!

To get to the rainbow you must first pass through the rain!

Yours is a question I'd quite like an answer to as well. I have found that when I get hungry between meals, cheese and nuts are the best snack. I am sure I often eat over 4 oz cheese a day, and I devour macadamias and almonds as well. I haven't found my weight going up, but it is coming off slowly. I would rather NOT have to cut down on these foods. For one thing, they contain calcium, which our bones need, and as we have cut out milk, we must get it from somewhere.
