My Dr. recomends the low carb eating. It's great to go to a Dr. that actually has done this. Just my 2 cents.

I WORK for my doctor, and she is recommending this WOE to many patients. She has her sister, her parents, herself, her DH (also a doctor in the same office) and ME all on it! And we're all loving it......

Even my DH's doctor recommended he eat low-carb - he didn't ENDORSE Atkins, but I was there, and he definitely said to CUT OUT THE GARBAGE CARBS! And he eats that way himself.

It's gettin' there, kids, it's gettin' there.....

My doc did strict Atkins for over a year, and is now in a "carb-aware" kind of maintanance.

I've "converted" several. My regulars who have watched me lose just about a third of myself, "fix" my bad lab numbers, and stay that way. It's amazing how one little anecdote, right under one's nose, can motivate a search of the recent literature.
