| till in the morning? What should be the length of time between the two that you go without food? For example, I stopped eating at 4:30 pm last night because I just wasn't hungry after that. And it's now 6:30 am here yet I'm still not hungry. (this means I have gone 14 hours without food so far but I feel fine right now) But should I eat after going, for example, 12 hours without food, 13 hours, 14 hours, etc.? Trying to get back in the balance & swing of things so this is the one part I'm still trying to figure out because I often don't wake up hungry in the mornings. So sometimes I don't find myself eating until around 9 am (which would mean going from 16.5 hours without food) |

| Sheyla, I just read recently that you should eat within 2 hours of getting out of bed. You have to have fuel, you really should have breakfast, even if just a little bit of protein. I don't think that the occasional long period of fasting will hurt you; some people fast regularly, taking a day or 2 off from eating. (Why, I don't know, because I really like to eat!) If I can find where I read about eating within 2 hours of arising, I'll let you know. |

| Shelya, I do not have my DANDR at the office, but I seem to recall a statement from it with respect to the necessity to eat something in the morning to prime the metabolism pump and keep the body from going into "starvation mode". While DANDR does recommend not going without eating something at least every 6 hours, that does not apply to periods of sleep. However, before you begin your days activities, you should eat something.
