I don't know where I should post this, and since I could not find it online, I suggest going to a local store where you can read the article. (starts on page 85 called original food) It is quite interesting. I don't know if I am missing something or not!

quote:
Our Stone Age ancestors dined mainly on lean animal meat, wild fruits and vegetables, and ate very little sugar or starchy carbohydrates, no added salt and no dairy. This whole-foods, high-fiber diet kept them remarkable free of chronic disease, just as it continues to sustain todays remaining hunter-gatherer societies from the polar region of Canada to the rainforests of Brazil. By contrast, our modern diet is increasingly based on processed foods, and its calorie-rich, nutrient-poor character has played a starring role in our current high rates of obesity, heart diesase, diabetes and cancer.

(Natural Health Oct. 2003, by Daryn Eller)

That's just the begining...this article goes on, plus gives some pretty (what looks like) yummy recipies.

Just wanted to share some information. I didn't know if I should put this in the new tread or not! They of course don't support any type of Diet, but reading it, it's pretty much (from the way I understand it) Quit eating so many bad carbs, (refined, starchy) and start eating good ones!

Have no fear, we are here, to support 1lb at a time...

Thanks for the tip, Help. I really like Natural Health and subscribed for a time. Too bad my subscription has run out.
