this week I will be up to 30 grams a carb per day. My question is how am I suppose to add these carbs when I can barely eat 25 grams of carbs?. Yesterday for breakfast I had 2 eggs with cheese. Lunch was 3 pieces of chicken, veggies and salad from el pollo loco. I drank no less than 100 oz of water every day. I didn't eat dinner because I wasn't really hungry. Enough of rambling on, I was just a little concerned. Thank you all for your advice and motivation. Without this site I would not have made it this far. (down 2 pounds this week

Shay, try adding some nuts or nut butter. Some fruit. I love raspberries this time of year! Maybe a piece of low carb bread. And perhaps some higher carb veggies like a piece of winter squash or a carrot or some peas.

That's what I've done and it's working great! I love macadamia nuts, so a small handful of those is a terrific crunchy snack and will give you some good fats and some more carbs.

I alway say the same thing, so no surprise here.
Berries are great to add in right about 30. They have phytonutrients that haven't even been identified yet. excellent for you and so satisfying. later, if you want to get up to about 40, I'd add in something like low carb crackers or low carb bread. I may get soem arguments but those additions really made this woe a cinch for me.

atkins has a "carbohydrate ladder" that it is suggested to follow when adding in carbs. first off is more veggies (choose from the acceptable vegies list only tho, carrots and peas are no-nos). after that, more fresh and aged cheeses, i like cottage cheese for that part. after that, seeds and nuts. then berries. etc etc. you can see the whole ladder on the atkins site.

it looks like you maybe arent getting enough vegies in if you are skipping meals, so perhaps you should concentrate there. its always good to eat something, even if you arent really hungry. a light dinner is better than no dinner at all. if you skip meals, your body isnt getting enough nutrients and energy to fuel itself, and is thus more likely to put itself into starvation mode.
