    Exclamation Dreamfields Low Carb Pasta...

I bought the pasta, I even went as far as counting the entire box and then counting my serving size. And Bam!! 2 pounds up?

The box says that the digestable carbs are 5 per serving...

Here is the info that I found that is on the box:

Why do you say that Dreamfields Pasta only has 5 grams of digestible carbs when the nutrition label states that it has 42 grams of carbohydrates?
While the total number of carbohydrates is the same as regular pasta, our patent pending formula and unique manufacturing process protects all but 5 grams of carbohydrates from being digested. The Dreamfields fiber and protein blend creates a protective barrier to reduce starch digestion in the small intestine. The unabsorbed, or protected, carbohydrates then pass to the colon where they are fermented, providing health benefits like fiber.

How is the level of digestible carbohydrate established for Dreamfields pasta?
A clinical testing method utilizing healthy human subjects is used to measure the levels of digestible carbohydrate contained in Dreamfields Pasta. The clinical tests are designated as "in vivo" testing or testing that utilizes a living being, as this is the only known way to establish how the body will process a specific food to create a blood glucose response. The shape and area under a blood glucose response curve is used to determine the level of digestible carbohydrate in a food and if the body is properly processing digested carbohydrates appropriately. Dreamfields clinical testing is conducted at an independent laboratory that complies with FDA guidelines.

    PLEASE ADVISE!!

A lot of people can't lose with Dreamfields Pasta, some stall, and I've heard that the longer you cook it, the more digestible it becomes.

Here's what someone else had to say about it:

    Whole Soybean Pasta

Read the first post in the thread; kind of an eye-opener. We're eating up what we have, usually putting broken bits of spaghetti in my chicken soup for noodles, so not eating a lot of it, but still, if it spikes the blood sugar levels, perhaps it's not all it's cracked up to be. I'd be wary, especially if you gain or stall eating it. I don't think I'll be buying more. Actually, I think I'd put Dreamfields in the same category as those carb blockers everyone was selling a few years ago, just another product that probably should be avoided by most of us.

dreamfields is very hit and miss for different people. i consider it the same category as sugar alcohols: ymmv, so you'd better be wary...

Thanks everyone! Ugh! I guess that I will leave it for those maintenance days in a few months I guess.
Darn! Darn! It is funny because I actually felt like it was cheating when I ate the product. I have had it in the past and didn't really put 2 & 2 together about the stall or slow weight loss. I am back down 13.4 this morning. Still on Induction and just trucking through...

Thanks for the information. I will be fine without it for now I guess.

You should try "shirataki noodles"! just Google and you will find them. Its made from tofu and tastes great. Best of all it only has I think one or two carbs for thw whole bag.
Great in soups, stirfry, in pasta dishes.
