| What's wrong with eating to much protien? Is there really any harm to it. I am losing nicely, eating my veggies, drinking tons of water, very satisfied with how everything is going. So now what is all this I read about limiting protiens? |

| There are certain lc plans that use a calculated protein/carb/fat formula for every meal and snack and I believe at least one of them has some kind of limit on protein. If you're doing the Atkins Nutritional Program, and feeling good and losing nicely and drinking your water, then you are eating precisely the correct amount of protein. | Proteins are larger chained molecules and are reported to be harder on the kidneys because of the size of the molecules. But if your kidneys are normal, then proteins are not a problem. Humans are omnivores, so our bodies are truly designed to consume protein. I have never had a problem with proteins. Barb Atkins-3/14/03 174/149.4/135 "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing." |
